I like that River Bend Senior Living was a smaller place, and they seemed to have all the good amenities that my mom would want. The dining room looked really nice. They had a beauty shop, a workout room, a lot of gathering spaces, a movie room, and a game room. There are a lot of different areas to get together with people. The staff was good and thorough. They showed me a couple of apartments that were available and showed me all the different areas.

We went to see River Bend Senior Living yesterday and it's very nice. The only thing is that the apartment is very small, so we wanted to just look at a few more places.
We were very impressed with it. The common areas were very nice and everyone there seems very welcoming. We just wanted to look at a few other places before we make our decision.
We toured their assisted living for both of my parents and I was surprised that they have a 1-bedroom available but it's just sort of tight. My dad has a computer and desk that he would like to bring over there too so that's the issue. We want to have a little more space in the living area.
We just met a couple of the staff but the ones we did meet were very friendly and the person who toured us around gave us a lot of information.
They offer 3 meals a day, which is included in the price, and they also provide transportation to appointments and grocery shopping, so those are big pluses for us.
It's close to downtown and, I don't know if seniors can do this, but there is a shopping center right across the street where they have groceries and stuff, so it would be easy access if they're able to cross the road.

My mom moved into the River Bend Senior Living a month ago. It was just nice, and they were very helpful. They're short-staffed. Some of them are wonderful, some are overworked, and it shows. She likes the food. They're very good at trying to get her to be involved. They're very good at that. It's clean and it's nice. It was expensive.
She took a fall and was not able to use her call button. I feel like we're kind of being pushed out. Unless my mom goes to therapy right now, they don't have that, they told me they don't have the services for her anymore and I haven't even been there a month. So that's my complaint right now. The nurse was very bold about it. She just flat out told me, "Well, we can't care for your mother anymore. We aren't a skilled nursing facility and we don't have enough employees to take care of her needs." That's what I was told yesterday. So I'm not real happy right now, but that could be just that one person is overworked and I'm getting bad feedback.

My mother is at River Bend Senior Living. Everybody's friendly and welcoming to her. The staff has been wonderful. She says the food is good and she likes it, but she says they give her too much. It's a beautiful facility. They have shuttles that can take them to different places, crafts, music programs, movies, and all kinds of stuff. It's expensive. They have a library, a big firepit outside right along the walking paths, and they have shuttles that take them to 125 Live where they can do exercises, crafts, and all kinds of programs going on there and they can do that twice a week. The rooms have a full-size refrigerator and a microwave, but no stove. They do the laundry for them.

River Bend Senior Living is a great place. It's expensive though, and any nursing services are a la carte. They're willing to work with us though. My dad's been a resident there for 2 years now, and he's in assisted living. He's in a very adequate studio with a little mini kitchen. The community rooms are big and very nice. The outdoors are very nice too. They have an outdoor patio. They do different events and they have a lot of community events with people from the community coming in. They have a movie theater room and exercise rooms. I think there's also a barber or beautician that comes into the home. I think the staff is very friendly and very accommodating too.

My mom is already in River Bend Senior Living and we're pleased with it. They take her to her doctor's appointments and help her with different things. Her room is small but it's cute. She has a little deck with a little bird feeder on it, and the furniture fits in beautifully. It's a nice small place. It's a 1-bedroom with a big bathroom, and the only thing that was a little bit small was the kitchen. They have all their meals downstairs, so I don't know if that mattered. The food is good. She's always been a picky eater, but she can find things that she likes. They have a book club and she eats with other couples, she has a regular table and people she eats with. I think it's very clean and I like the security to get into it. You have to get your temperature checked and you have to sign in and make sure that you weren't exposed to anybody. So I like that they try to protect their residents. The value for the money is pretty good.

My mother is at River Bend Senior Living since the beginning of this month. We've chosen them because of its proximity and the views. The staff is fine and they seem to be caring. She's kind of a foodie, and she says the food is not bad. Her room is like a small apartment. They don't have a lot of activities right now because of COVID. The facility is excellent and very well laid out. It is more of a traditional type, but it's a new building. They seem accommodating and willing to work with us. It's right by the Silver Lake, so it's pretty and only about a mile to downtown.

The staff at River Bend Senior Living was very nice. The atmosphere was awesome. It was very clean and very nice. They showed me a studio and a one-bedroom, and they were both very nice. The studio overlooked the river, and it had a beautiful view. The one-bedroom overlooked the parking lot, but it was still a nice room. They were both very nice rooms. They had a secured area out back where there were some patio chairs and a picnic table or a lounge table. There was a group of guys sitting out there chatting and laughing and having a good time. Their dining room facility was down to one person per table, and they were kind of staggering everybody eating for safety. They had a little library section with chairs scattered about, definitely socially distanced, and there was a lady in there reading and she looked happy and content. It seemed like a very nice place. They had bingo and activities, and there was a shuttle bus that takes people to all their appointments.

I went to River Bend Senior Living. It was very nice, everything was fine, and I would have gone with it, but they assessed my mother and they said they would not be able to accommodate her. It was clean, they were friendly, attentive, and it seemed like a warm, friendly, and nice place. They had a shuttle bus, they were baking cookies when I was there, there was a nice dining room, and I liked that. It felt more homey.

We enjoyed our visit with River Bend Senior Living. It's in a really nice place and it's visited quite often by doctors from Mayo Clinic. It's a great place. They had a lot of activities, clubs, gym rooms, people that will help you with exercises, card games, and a little library. The staff was nice and very friendly. They gave us a grand tour, explained everything, and showed us different apartments.

My grandmother lived at Riverbend for two years. She paid $4,000 per month for a studio apartment. That price included utilities, all meals, housekeeping, and a home care employee to assist her with showers a few times per week. The building is new and beautiful. Unfortunately they have a difficult time keeping staff, so the food has suffered along with Healthcare. Their marketing director Shannon was initially nice when she wanted our business, but then didn't seem to have time for us when issues came up. Many of their activities end up getting cancelled because there aren't enough residents to attend them (playing cards several times per week I'm sure gets old). I certainly hope things turn around for them, but if we had to do it over again, I would not have put my grandmother there.

The River Bend has the river down there, but it is more in town and congested. The rooms were small, and that was a big deal. The staff was fine. The people were very nice, but I felt like I was being pressured by the gal, and that was a negative for me. The elevator and the size of the room were the two big things for me, and the thing that turned me off the most was the pressure of the recruiter.

I had the worst experience ever with Riverbend and I work in healthcare. My family member went in walking two miles a day and due to not being cared for passed away two months later. I moved them out before they passed away but the damage was done. Nobody fed my family member, I brought in food they liked and they were never given it unless I went there and fed them myself. My family was overmedicated and was never outside of their couch whenever I visited.
I also had issues with the director, whom got fired while my family member was there. They tried to kick out my relative the first day and keep a 1000 dollar deposit. Please send your family member anywhere else.

River Bend was not quite fully informed when we visited but very helpful with what they did know. We saw a gathering in their little room where they were gathered around the piano. There weren’t any residents around. The dining area looks good, but it looks like there was ample room for eating and ample opportunity to snack and socialize. It looks very nice.

River Bend seemed like a very nice place to be. It seemed very relaxed and could be a comfortable place. The room was very nice and comfortable. They have art classes and card games. The food was very nice. It was a comfortable setting, not dirty or messy or unorganized. It’s a very nice place. I was very impressed.

I visited River Bend. The staff was very nice, very cordial and everything was wonderful. I looked at the memory care and the memory care rooms were appropriately small and it was fine and clean. I think it was a relatively new building and it was great. The atmosphere was cordial and friendly. The dining room was very nice.

River Bend was brand new, gorgeous, and welcoming, only having opened about a year and a half ago. When we walked in, we saw a fireplace and a sitting area. The person that gave us the tour was absolutely wonderful. That’s the place that my dad loved. Some of the rooms had pretty spectacular views of the river. Everything was very modern. It was a gorgeous place.

River Bend was a very nice place. I would rate it way up there. The rooms were nice and very clean, and the staff was very helpful. The dining room was very pleasant. I didn’t see any activities going on at the time of my visit, but there were activities posted. They have exercises and bring in community activities like music and dance. They have a game room/library, a movie room with a popcorn machine, and computers for the residents to use, which was very nice. The whole place was welcoming.

My mother is in River Bend, which is close to my house. The staff is nice and good. The apartment is very nice, spacious, and clean and looks out to a river. The food is fair. My mother exercises every day. They can improve by having more staff at night.
