I liked pretty much everything about Ecumen Brooks other than it's a big place, so the walking would have been tough for my mom. The staff was pleasant and she gave us a good tour. They had a nice courtyard and a beauty salon. The place was very nice and very pleasant. It was located not too far from a hospital, and there were restaurants in the area, too.

Ecumen Brooks was a very good place. It had a large and nice lobby area where people gathered. The apartment that I saw seemed a little tight and small, but I think the meals and the socialization would be good for me. I like being around people, so that would be a good thing for me to be there. The residents were very nice. The lady in charge of the tour was very good and very appropriate.

My mom has moved in, and she is all settled and very happy at the Ecumen Brooks, so we are good there. The staff is awesome. They were very helpful, and that is why we put her there -- the staff was great. The apartment is very well-kept, it is very clean, very nice, and just exactly what she needed. She worked with a one-bedroom, and that was all she needed. She has said nothing but praise for the food; she has been very happy with it. The dining room is awesome. It is like a big home dining room -- very well-designed, decorated nicely, and very homey. They have entertainment coming in, and they do exercises three times a week, they do bingo, and she plays cards; it is very nice for her. I can't say enough good things about the place. I am very happy, and she likes it very much there. She is very content.

The Brooks seemed like a nice place. Everything was neat, clean, and well kept but probably not as new looking. We talked to a couple of the staff there. They were very hospitable, very happy to show us around, took the time, and answered all the questions we had. They were pleasant about it. A number of the residents were out visiting with each other, and it seemed like there were a lot more women there than men. The place where we interviewed and asked questions was an office; it was not as open and inviting.
