Elysian Senior Homes of Lake City is a beautiful facility. My mom loves their meals and the dining room is beautiful. It's attractive physically, and the relationships between residents and the staff are strong. There's a variety of activities that residents can do, whether it's physical, creative, or socialization. The library is always available. The hair stylist is very accommodating to the residents. They very much meet her needs.

I would want anyone else who was searching in Southeastern Minnesota to know about The Bluffs of Lake City. It's fairly new, very clean, and has a memory care unit. I was really happy to find a room available there. My mom has a one-studio apartment with a private bath. It's unfurnished, so we provided our own furnishings. It has a small kitchenette with a sink and refrigerator. It meets our needs just fine. The facility itself has a nice open living room type sitting area, and the food seems good. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and competent. Everything seems really good so far. They have a beauty salon, church services, parties, and an outdoor space to sit and walk. Mom moved to memory care but they have assisted living as well. It is connected by hallways to a clinic and hospital. She can go in a wheelchair straight from her room to her doctors' appointment and back without having to go outside or get in the car or anything. They give you a questionnaire to put what your loved one's likes and dislikes and favorite food is and the chef makes a pretty good effort to customize the meals to each person to some extent.
