My dad moved into the Encore at Hugo. It's a very nice place. They have catered in food and chefs all the time working there. They are very well staffed. My dad is very well taken care of. My dad has an apartment. They have a studio. They have outdoor areas and indoor areas. They have a nice big living room, kitchen area, and a party area where they have birthdays and such.

My wife is in Bickford of Hugo, and it's very good. They have very caring people, good food, and numerous activities. They have decks on three sides of the building and a walkway. We're very pleased with it.

Compared to the other facilities, Bickford of Hugo was wide open. There are no hallways, so mom wouldn't get confused going down the hallways. They have a good ratio of clients versus staff. They have different activities, games, and events to keep their minds stimulated. The manager and one of the staff members who helped her with showers were friendly.

My experience with Hugo Gracewood is fine. It’s beautifully decorated. They have codes that you need to be able to get in and out of the doors. I feel that they can use more staff to be able to accommodate all of the residents, but I think they are working on that. The staff members that I met was very friendly and likeable.

My dad is in Gracewood of Hugo. It is set up really nicely, and it small. There are not too many people. The staff is very nice. The whole building is newer building, so it is very nice. The room is excellent because he has two rooms, and he is by himself in those rooms. He has no roommate. The dining room is out in the open, and it is kind of a family style dining. It is nice. I have no complaints with the food. There are lots of activities. They have music programs, outings, and physical therapy.

Gracewood was very nice and it was a very secure facility. They had a studio room for memory care. I would have put my mother there but the funding is tricky. I might go with them simply because it's close, it's clean and it's pretty. I liked the aesthetics. It was very warm and inviting. They have, for the assisted living part, a short wall between the bed and the living space and I thought it was pretty unique so it kind of separated it a little bit. The activities that they were doing were great. They were having some fun and that was very nice to see.
