The resident lived there for several years with no issues noted except for regular steep price increases. Then in a hygiene related issue he had to vacate the room. Management agreed to refund the rent for the days paid but where the room was unhabitable. They then began a long process of delays and excuses. Finally after many reminders, they refunded 5/8 of what they'd agreed to pay. The rest they promised to pay later, then defaulted. Overall it was anxious for the resident, and then crushing disappointment. Otherwise, the meals were good, and the AdvisaCare Department was quite helpful.

We toured Holiday Glen Eagle. The administrator that showed us around was very informative and very thorough. She took us to see individual rooms and took us to all the open spaces that were going to be available. We were very impressed with the room. It was beautiful, well-kept, and clean. We would have used it if it fits our financial situation. They showed us a studio and a one-bedroom. They had a nice game room, they had a TV room, and had nice arts and crafts area. The dining room was very accommodating. And then they had little areas where there's a couple or a few seats and where small groups could sit together and visit. They had a beauty salon. They had a pretty good variety. They had nice outdoor walkways and a patio that was pretty private and shaded.

Holiday Glen Eagle was very nice. It's on multiple floors and it smelled good. It was a little cheaper than the other place, but it's on the other side of town. The people were very nice and all the residents seemed happy. They didn't seem stressed. They seemed very relaxed and smiley. There was an event going on, so people were enjoying that. We didn't try their food, but their dining room looked very nice and attractive. They were getting ready for lunch at that time. They had little patios. Because Mom likes to dig in the dirt, we asked if they could plant flowers and that sort of thing outside, or just go play in the dirt, and they said yes. We looked at a studio there and it was very small, but it had an outdoor patio. It was big enough to put a chair out there. The staff was good. The only thing we didn't like about it was the multiple floors, but they had an elevator. It was all clean and everything.

The best thing I liked about Glen Eagle were the actual rooms. They seem to have more room. It was less like a nursing home and more like an independent living type place. The staff seems very friendly, and the facility seemed clean and colorful. They have several amenities like a courtyard, a gym, a salon, a pool room, and a library.

My brother is at Glen Eagle. It has a simple layout. It provides three meals a day, has its own transportation van, and activities. They have a walking group that the residents have formed on their own. There are chair exercises with a physical therapist that comes in (so everybody's doing it safely). There are dominoes, euchre, a pool table, and several pianos around for anybody who wants to do that. They have a little exercise room with a recumbent bicycle and an elliptical machine too. The facility is pretty modern. It's quite a bit like a vacation condo. Everybody has their own private apartment. It's very clean and kept up nicely. The cost is so reasonable. and the people that I have talked to are very friendly and seem to be on the ball. Everybody's really busy working hard. I like the staff.

I toured Glen Eagle in Traverse City. It's independent living, and it was very good. Their staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice. We saw a studio. We saw a 1-bedroom, and we thought they were very well done. They also offer 3 meals a day. They have a library, billiards, exercise classes and trips that they can do. I think it was a nice, clean, and friendly place for my brother. I was very happily surprised at how good it was.

I went to a scheduled tour at Glen Eagle in Traverse City and it was just too much for me. I'm on a fixed income, I have disability, and it would have been more than what I'm getting in my disability. I went in person and looked at the actual units they had available. It was a good tour. The guy I toured with, he did his best to get the price down, but he just couldn't get it low enough. The rooms were nice when I looked at them, particularly the studios. Not real big, but had a nice bathroom and kitchen area. I kind of think that it was way overpriced, but then if you think about it that already includes all the utilities and meals. It was just too expensive than I thought maybe. Everything looked nice. I would have definitely stayed there if I was able to do it financially. It seems like it's an older structure, but it's well maintained.

We moved my mom to Glen Eagle because of the activity that they were doing, and they're allowing two caregivers per person. It's independent living, but they have a nursing staff on staff, and we contracted them also. The staff are wonderful. The room of my mom is beautiful. It's already done and beautiful. They have a yoga class, they got chair exercises, cardio drumming, and they play bingo. They don't have a pool or gym. They got a recreation room that's got a pool table and stuff. It's a very nice layout, and the room that they got for her, she's about 30 steps from everything.

Glen Eagle was beautiful. It looked like a really great place. It's very clean, it had a lot of activities, and the location was really good. They had chess, cards, board games, and a whole billboard of things going on. The manager was great. She came and met me on her day off, which was very nice of her. The dining area was very big.

Glen Eagle only had independent living. They have a separate company on-site that you can hire for assistance if you need some outsourcing. It was great, professional, clean, warm, and welcoming. The staff was very engaged with the tenants. It's set up like a three-story hotel with a huge dining area. It's immaculately clean and well maintained.

We chose Glen Eagle because my mom is impressed with the community. It's like a retirement home but they also provide medical assistance. You can have a nurse come and do things for my mom that she needs help with, like giving her medicine, take showers, get her down to dinner, and lunch. So far it's going well. She seems to be more relaxed and calm, so everything seems to be working out. It's a very good place, people are friendly, and it's clean. It's just well represented, and it's that way all the time.

We've been very pleased with Glen Eagle. My aunt is doing well there. They have good food and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The people around her are about the level she is. They're able to move around and do things independently. She is making new friends and she enjoys it. She is in a one-bedroom apartment that's very spacious and open, and suited for anyone that is handicapped. They can get in and out easily, they keep her very clean, she has housekeeping once a week, and she gets three meals a day. The rooms are nice. She is on the second floor and she has a balcony. It's well worth what we're paying.

I feel that Glen Eagle is not for the common person. It is more of a place for the upper class. Their apartments were comparable. They have the same facilities as other places, like a library and a nice dining area. However, I wasn't impressed with the dining area because the staff who was supposed to start serving never showed up until 12:30 p.m. We didn't get very quick service. The young man that showed me around didn't impress me at all. He had a resident that was moving in then, and he seemed very preoccupied. Also, he never called back to see if I would consider Glen Eagle or not. They need to check into that young man's attitude. I got the feeling that he was just looking down his nose at me, almost as if I wouldn't really fit in.

I fell in love with Glen Eagle. It had a really beautiful setting about a mile and a half from the new YMCA. We went to lunch, which was a 4-course meal, and it was just lovely. We had a lovely tour and met with their comfort keeper nurse. The lighting was very bright and nice, which we really enjoyed, and everything was furnished, except the telephone. You provide three meals a day and a bus service that goes to doctors and on trips. It had a very clean, open atmosphere.

I truly approved of and loved Glen Eagle. The food is much better, and they have great choices. The facilities are like a 5-star, all-inclusive resort, and they're wonderful. The people are super friendly. Visitors are always welcomed, and if you're visiting your parents, you're invited to eat with them. The location is wonderful. It's kind of tucked in down the hill, it's close to town, and it's got a great view with lots of trees and great walkability around for people on the sidewalk. They could do a little bit more parking spaces, but they're working on that. The food's really good; they always offer the main thing on the menu, and then they have 5 choices if you don't want the main entrée, so it's very accommodating.

I found one I really liked, and I intend to move here, but not quite yet. Glen Eagle was special -- very nicely done -- and it’s independent care. Cleanliness was very good too.

We found Glen Eagle for my mom. It’s a very nice community, and it's clean. They serve three meals a day. My mom has a one-bedroom apartment with a little kitchenette. They do have trip services on Sunday, and they also have some sing-alongs.

Glen Eagle is a very nice community. The staff is very friendly and the managment seems to really care about the well being of the residents. They have activities and social events, ie. ice cream socials, movie nights with snacks, sing alongs, etc. On one occasion when I was there to visit lunch was being served. For only a few dollars I had a lovely shrimp and pasta lunch with salad, a drink, bread and a desert. Although the studio apartment was small it had all of the amenities you would expect, a kitchenette, nice bathroom and a small balcony for him to sit on (even though he is afraid of heights). The hallways and common areas were nicely decorated and clean. The laundry facilities are available on each floor in each wing. The only unfortunate thing that I noticed was that there is only one elevator and it moves incredably slow. After meals people were waiting more than 10 minutes to return to their apartments. There are bathing and medical assistants available for those who need help. It is not included in the monthly rent and is charged in 15 minute intervals. Overall it was a good experience for my grandfather while he was recovering.
