My dad was at MTB for a couple of months before he passed away this week. I can’t say enough about the care he received . He was always clean , his clothes were changed, his bed was clean and he was always tucked in, and warm. Everyone was so caring and kind to my dad and us. They always updated us on any changes. Rhonda was always there for my shoulder to cry on, she was so comforting . My dad was in hospice his last couple of weeks and they made sure he was comfortable . I highly recommend MTB.

The level of care that my mom is receiving at Martha T Berry Medical Care Facility is what we were needing for her. There have been many improvements to the facility over the last several years and it is welcoming. The actual care team is very caring and concerned with her well-being. It's beautiful and they have a couple of internal courtyards where the trees are starting to bloom. The grounds are kept well, too. She is in a shared room, but there is a wall dividing the two rooms. It's not just a curtain. There is an actual wall that divides them and then there's a curtain that closes off each side of the room. Each room has a window, which I think is important, too. It's like having their own space. If she presses her call button, not only does the light go on the wall, but it also goes outside in the hallway. Then it notifies the staff via their cell phones that she needs care. So, if they happen to be in another part of the floor where they can't physically see her light, the staff are still notified. The food is very good. They usually do lunch in the dining room and then breakfast and dinner are usually served in their rooms. They have other options besides what is just being served, so they could order off of the menu. They had a piano player that came in and a juggler the other day. They have movies in their big auditorium room and in case they don't want to go down, it's offered on their TVs as well. They have different craft activities, a Keno game, and several things highlighted throughout the day on their activity calendars. Another nice thing is if she needs help, it doesn't matter who it is (whether it's the activities people, physical therapy, people or occupational therapy, the nurses or the aides), they all support one another and they help. So, if she's getting ready to go to therapy and she needs to use the restroom, the therapy person or the activities person would help her to go to the bathroom. They all seem to work well as a team.

My grandmother was a resident here for many years. A very healthy 100 years old. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the managed to lose 25 pounds in 6 weeks. She had no use of her hands, so she was unable to feed herself, and the staff obviously wasn't assisting her with food and water. Before lockdown, family was there twice every day to assist her with her meals. She died of nutrition and hydration deficiency and MTB was cited for it. I spent a lot of time at MTB the last week of her life (they let you in during COVID to watch your loved one die, but we weren't allowed in to feed her) and the staff was sitting around doing nothing. Do your research with the state before letting a loved one here. And they will block you on social media if you say anything negative or call them out on their inaccurate posts.

My mother with dementia has been a resident for going on 2 years now. When we were looking for a facility, the first thing that we were happy to see is the semi-private room set ups. We knew after going through mom's savings for her care, she would need to be in a medicaid facility. Since being there, she has been so well taken care of. There is little to no staff turnover; they are all familiar faces to us. They strive to keep the residents busy with activities. The food is plentiful with options given if the resident does not like what is being served. Communication has never been a problem. They are even going the extra mile during this Covid 19 pandemic to video call us once a week & are keeping us updated.

We chose Martha T Berry Medical Care Facility because it's very clean and they could fully service my mom. I'm very impressed with the place. They're very professional and attentive to their patients. She hasn't complained about the food. They have a full calendar of activities. They have music and entertainment that comes in for them.

Martha T Berry is all Medicaid. It's county-run and clean with no smells. The food smelled pretty good. It had a lot of people, a lot of help, and a lot of floor cleaning after every meal. They had three floors and outdoor patios for all of them. They're totally enclosed. It's all new, and they're going to have a coffee shop in there. They have a gift shop, dual elevators, and a lot of parking. It's good all the way around. There were a lot of workers and a waiting list to get in. Everything seemed nice, but the rooms were smaller. Each had a bed and a facility to wash up.

My grandmother was a resident of Martha T. Berry for about 7 years until she recently passed away. I feel that Martha T. Berry provided an excellent quality of care for my grandmother. The facility is laid out very nicely, with a recently renovated front section. Overall, the facility is clean and well maintained. The rooms in the newly renovated section are a very nice size. The courtyard at Martha T. Berry is beautiful, featuring a vast array of flowers and plants. It is a very nice place to spend time with residents when the weather is nice. The residents have a wide variety of activities to participate in, including movie nights, wheelchair exercises, BINGO, and much more. Finally, I feel that the staff at Martha T. Berry did an excellent job with my grandmother. Most of the staff seemed genuinely concerned for her health and well-being, especially toward the end of her life. I would highly recommend Martha T. Berry to anyone looking for a facility for a loved one.
