From our initial contact with the caregivers at Stonegate, we felt their warmth, friendliness and compassion. Moving Uncle during the holidays was a tough decision, but they eased our stress and welcomed him into their family! Compared to the experience at the previous facility, we are at peace with our decision. We are involved with care plan decisions and he is much happier. The apt setting feels more like home, and visitors are comfortable too.
Dad's Grateful Children
We are so blessed to have our father at Stonegate. He needed extra assistance but this facility has been so much more - Dad loves the friends he has made, Bingo, the three good meals a day, his room, and is really appreciative of how kind and patient the staff are. The team there is very accommodating and quick to help us with any questions we have. We would recommend Stonegate!!!

Extremely loving and caring facility. Could not have been happier with the caregiving of my father.
Rooms are very spacious and clean.
Lots of great activities such as painting, group reading, bingo, balloon volleyball, fishing trips, and walks around the community.

My mother gets very good care. I can live without worrying that she is okay. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing assistance with loved ones.

Room is large with living room and dinning room combo. Large bedroom with a walk in closet and a sliding glass door opening into the green belt and gazebo area.
Bingo, playing cards and arts and crafts are all fun.
Through COVID the staff may have been a little short. But that was expected.

Stonegate offers so much for senior living. The rooms are perfect for each individual. Kate keeps the residents busy with numerous activities. Meals are prepared and enjoyed by everyone. My father says it is the perfect retirement home. It was the best decision we made together. So happy to have this home available in Sandusky for our seniors. Thank you to each and every staff member for all you do.

Mom was living in Florida. When she told me it was time for her to move back to Sandusky to be closer to family, I started my search for a new home for her. She was adamant about not living with her children. My first call to Stonegate was great. My tour of Stonegate was wonderful. My questions answered & I was able to choose her little apartment. She mom has been at Stonegate two years. Everyone of the staff is super. They truly care about each resident. The kindness, respect shown goes above and beyond. Meals are excellent. Activities galore. The building is so very clean. Residents are out & about visiting with each other all day. Every family is made to feel that they are important & welcomed to be a part of their loved ones life. Thank you Stonegate for making mom's life full & complete as she continues life's journey.

I went to Stonegate Village Assisted Living & Memory Care in person. They were very nice, you have to get someone to let you in, and someone to let you out. They all had separate rooms, there were no double rooms at all. Everyone had their own room, and they were clean and nice. The staff was great. They showed me everything, and they had a courtyard. They had a common room where everyone could sit on the couch or whatever, and they had the dining room. They showed me that they have all the things that people are interested in. So they have everything from games, to movies, to puzzles, to everything.

My mother and father moved in 8 years ago and my father passed in July of 2015. They and we as a family have found the facility and staff to be exceptional. My mom considers it home. The rooms are large and well maintained. We have been very pleased with all of the activities: Bingo, cards, music, painting, corn hole - just to name a few. Even through the past year with COVID-19, the staff worked hard to provide excellent interaction and activities. We have also enjoyed the many family activities that have helped us interact with mom and her community there.

I truly believe that Mom would not be with us today if it wasn't for Stonegate Village. The caregivers and staff at Stonegate take excellent care of Mom. From administering her medications, to the food they prepare to the wonderful activities they provide, Mom couldn't be happier.
I love that they celebrate so many special days from opening day of baseball to first day of spring to any and every holiday. The activities director and staff are wonderful. The interaction the staff has with the residents between the activities, baking, crafts, singing, bingo, etc. is the key ingredient of keeping Mom busy which seems to be the key to her happiness. The staff at Stonegate continue to do this on a daily basis.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Stonegate and am so fortunate that we were able to find such an amazing home for Mom to live.
When Mom's happy, we are happy. We found the key to her happiness. Thank You Stonegate Village.

My mother has been here over a year & we are very happy with the entire program. She has flourished with the great staff, activities, & food. She was in another facility prior to this so I have a lot to compare to. Being an RN myself, my expectations are high & they have met
or exceeded them. They have been very helpful & accommodating to both of us. Its very home-like with personable care & I highly recommend Stonegate.

Stonegate Village is an excellent assisted living facility with people who truly care about your love one. They put you at ease and assure you that they will treat your family like one of their own. The activities are perfect for what each resident is capable of and they listen to any concerns you may have or questions that may come up. I am extremely pleased that we chose Stonegate for our loved one.
