My wife is in the Community Village. They have activities, and the staff are very friendly and very cooperative. They are very concerned, and I am very pleased with them. I haven't seen the activities, but I do know they have activities every day. My wife has been participating in them, so I am assuming they are fine.

We found Community Village for Dad. It's smaller and suits his needs. It has a really friendly atmosphere and stuff every day for the residents to do, like bingo, movies, exercise, and games. He is happy and content, and he enjoys the food.

We decided that we are going to put my mother in Community Village. This is a Christian-based community. We like everything about it. The place was very nice. I didn't get the chance to taste their food but it looked good. The staff also was friendly. They were nice people. They have a 24-hour nurse there and that's very nice to have. I would recommend this community to others.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Community Village for about a year. The facility is clean and pleasant and the staff is calm and helpful. The food is varied and, I think, good. Mom is treated with respect and dignity even though Alzheimer's sometimes makes her difficult. Never, in our many unannounced visits at all times of the day, have we walked in on anything that made us uncomfortable about her care. Mom also has breathing problems and the staff is quick to alert family when she worsens. We have encountered a couple of problems, though. The method the Village uses to fill prescriptions is cumbersome and if a resident's doctor prescribes on Friday the resident won't get the drug until Monday. No drugs are allowed to be brought from a local pharmacy so the resident goes without the drug. The second problem is laundry. The Village does resident's laundry and items seem to go missing fairly often despite being labeled .Once, my sister-in-law saw another resident wearing a shirt she'd purchased for Mom. When we've complained the staff says they will check the laundry and sometimes items are returned, other times they are gone. We are happy with Community Village though, in spite of those things. The most important things to us are Mom's safety and for her to be as happy as her condition allows and she is both at the Village. I would, and have, recommended it to others.
