Sunrise on Vernier was very spacious and very nice, and I thought this facility was the best fit for my wife. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very efficient and answered all my questions. The facility was located in a congested area, so there weren't too many outdoor spaces for the residents. The building was fairly new and it was nice looking. The rooms were about 400 square feet. The whole place was very clean and well-kept.

My mom has moved into Sunrise on Vernier. I have no problem recommending this community to anyone. It is a very good place. It's clean and safe. The staff is friendly. The work attitude is very good. The food is good too. My mom's apartment is a studio apartment; it's great.

Sunrise Senior Living was the one we were looking for. They were modern. There was a high level of cleanliness. They had activities. When we were there, a couple of the residents had gone on a bus trip to a park or a picnic. I believed they do ball games and other areas of interest. The staff was extremely accommodating, very knowledgeable, and very eager to please. You had choices for the rooms. There were single rooms where you were the single occupant. The shared accommodation was not two people in one room. There were actually separate bedrooms, but they shared a bathroom. It was everything we needed. This was our first choice when the need came. The location was perfect. I liked the ratio of staff to patients. I liked the fact that they had some house pets at the facility. They had a dog and a cat; that seemed to cheer the residents quite a bit. The menu was varied enough. It was a balanced, healthy menu. They would always accommodate any dietary needs. There was a balcony outside, if the patient was able to go outside.

I am not really happy with the place that mom is in, and that is Sunrise on Vernier. I think that they’re disorganized in the care. She is often left to be by herself, and she is kind of an in between phase where she thinks like she is all there; she thinks she has more faculties than she does, so her care tends to looked over because they don’t recognize the things that she is not doing for herself like good oral care. They don’t have stimulating activities to keep her busy, so she naps a lot, and that’s makes her much more confused when she wakes up, but I don’t know if it will change. They had caregivers and a caregiver manager. I am not sure if things will change or not; I’m giving them a little bit of time.

I went to Sunrise on Vernier and the facility was good. It's clean, but it was setup like a dorm. It wasnÕt something I would expect, but the staff is good.
