The person running Mary's Residential Care for Seniors is excellent. He appears to enjoy what he does and be good at it, and he was very thorough and knowledgeable. He's been doing it for 20 years. However, I didn't like the place because the rooms were too small for the residents. It's an older building and it looked tired. It needs some new windows or just some more to spiffy it up a little bit. It looked not as brand new or nice or clean as the other one I went to.
The kitchen, dining, and living area were nice. They had a place for the people to sit outside, but I wouldn't have any knowledge about the food. They don't have too much going there. They mostly have people who don't want to do anything like my mother-in-law. They have room for 20 people there and they have currently only 10.

Mary's place was the one we could afford. It's small, and looks like a big house which is what I like. It's close to our house and it's easy to get there. They specialize in memory care and dementia. The rooms are adequate, they're not huge but they're big enough. Dad in law doesn't complain about the food, he says it's fine. They've got arts and crafts and a TV. He is adjusting well, he seemed to be cared for and I haven't
had any complaints. He seemed to be clean, he's well fed and he put some weight on since he's been there which was good.
