I,m saddened to find my friend sitting in a w/c for hours and none of the nurses checked on her. The people are cold they don’t interact with the patients. When you ask for something they don’ t listening they become defensive. They should be trained and taught to listen to the family complaint and instead of talking at the same time defending themselves offer to solve the problem. I will talk to the director of this place and if I don’t get satisfaction I’ll try someone else.

I went to look at Windemere Park Warren. The room seemed spacious, and I liked how they had a private bath. The outside and common areas were very nice. The employees were very helpful. The courtyard had a nice gazebo and patio area. Everything was very clean. The facility was nicely decorated. They have a swimming pool, a little chapel, and a workout area.

We moved my mother in Windemere Park Warren. What we liked about this place is that the price was obviously a thing, because that was within her price point. The people return calls very promptly, and it seemed like once she moved to her apartment, it's just been really nice. They're very accommodating, they're very caring, and they do address concerns appropriately within a short amount of time, they're just all about the patients. All nursing homes are fairly the same, there's always going to be a lot of gaps, issues, or whatever, it's just the way it is. It has been wonderful, so I would highly recommend it. I don't know if there is anything that's absolutely the best, because there's always going to be loopholes. Unfortunately, in our society, if you can afford a huge amount of money, you might get what would be considered the best, but for a lot of people who are on a fixed income, this is the best for her needs, and for her income level. If any of us had concerns, they were addressed, and were never swept under the rug. Once you're in an apartment, or in the independent living, assistant living, or memory care, it is fantastic, looks really good, and very accommodating, it's very nice. I don't have any complaints, but if you first come in injured, or as somebody who needs physical therapy, you'd be on the main floor, and just like any facility, it is not so good. For the food, they have to be able to accommodate a lot of people, so they have to go with what the general public is going to enjoy, but they have really handled that very well. They have quite a few activities and a good activity program. They have two different services on Sundays. They have a Catholic service, and they have a like a non-denominational service, which is very nice for a lot of people. They have a library, and they have a pool area. Unfortunately, we can't really say that much about it because it still has been locked down because of COVID. I'm sure in the next few months, as things start opening up, these people will be able to enjoy more of these amenities. The pictures, and as far as the tour, it's a very nice facility. Maybe they could have a few other diversified things, but what they offer is good. There hasn't been a lot of activities because of COVID, but they do try to bring in as much as possible to the patient's rooms to keep them occupied by doing real projects and those sorts of things, so that's really good.

I went to Windemere Park Warren. It was very nice and was like a very nice hotel. I wouldn't mind going to a place like that. It was a bit more expensive. The place was big, the rooms were nice, clean, and the director himself took me around the whole place. They had a nice bar-be-cue for the tenants, they had a nice therapy room, they had a library, computers, and swimming pool. The food looked delicious, and all the tenants seemed to be happy.

Windemere Park Warren was nice and good. The staff who toured me around was very nice and helpful. The rooms were kind of small which was my biggest concern. The dining area looked nice and appropriate. We saw some people doing exercise and we saw the movie theater. The place was a little dark though, not bright and cheerful.

This facility has major issues. They are very under staffed. The turnover of staff is ridiculous. The facility is not well cared for and dirty. The food is terrible. Residents are all given the same food regardless of dietary restrictions.
It is a shame that this facility is not well managed. It has the potential to be very nice place to live. The main floor has an atrium, an outdoor garden area, salon, gym, coffee shop and more.

This place was a 72 hour nightmare. From the moment of arrival it was disorganized, ill-prepared, unfriendly to rude people, and it got worse from there. My parent arrived for rehabilitation from a broken femur and was in ICU 72 hours later after seemingly being overdosed and then being allowed to aspirate on her own bile. We had to call 911 ourselves because it just wasn't urgent enough for the doctor and nurse who was following "doctor's orders".
They were short-staffed, overworked, and most of the people were downright unkind and uncaring.
There were a very few exceptions. One nurse whose name was Jontae was great, the nurse practitioner, Elizabeth was very qualified and compassionate -- too bad she wasn't in charge of the entire nursing team. The receptionist Virginia was really warm and kind.
For a place that claims to do "rehab" work, the attitude appeared to be that this is long-term care for end-of-life clients, so who cares? PT folks were mostly good but the time was short.
The list of wrongs done here is too long for this review but I would strongly caution anyone to not choose this place if you love the person you are helping to place.

We really liked Windemere Park. They take them to the stores once a week and had some medical staff available. We liked that they can stay there and move into different levels of care as needed without moving out. The price was pretty good. The food looked very good.

My mother has moved into Windemere less than a month ago. The place is very lovely, but they promised us that they would have gluten-free food for her, and they are not meeting their obligation. The staff is patient and caring.

My family member went there for rehab and the Rehab dept was great! The nurses aides were nice but very few of them around. Especially on the weekends. Very poor staffing and poor communication between different departments. Very lackadaisical care. I told dietician 5 times my Mom has CHF and can't have salt yet they bring her 3 slices of ham for dinner. When she got home a visiting nurse discovered they never gave her a very important heart pill while there for 5 weeks and her ankles kept swelling. Multiple times I told the nurse manager to put cpap and O2 on at night yet it was forgotten many times!! I would not take a dog there!

I have had my mother at Windermere Park for a few years and in the past few months I have seen a big improvement in the staffing on weekends and the overall care of the residents. The community is much cleaner and I feel the improvemental is very positive. The nurse and her helper have really met all of my mothers needs.

My mom has only been a resident at Windemere Park Assisted Living for approximately a little over a month. To say I was truly impressed by the entrance (coy pond/swimming pool). However, my initial rating of five stars has been dropped to three. The majority of the residents at the facility have SCABIES!! Management is aware of the problem and have done nothing to take care of the problem. Luckily, my mother is not affected. There is a definite need for an overhaul of the administrative staff, beginning with the person that recruits new residents, down to the day shift of care givers. I PRAY that the SCABIES situation is corrected immediately.

We visited only one, and that was Windermere. From what we've seen, it was very nice actually. It was absolutely gorgeous. I think it was a hotel before they turned it into a senior home, so you can imagine how it looks -- the lobby and everything else was gorgeous. It's got a pool; it's got everything you want. It was a gorgeous dining area that had white tablecloths; it was a first-class place.

Windemere Park in Warren, MI is absolutely gorgeous. This facility has independent apartments, assisted living, memory care and respite care. They also have an urgent care facility on the property. The facility used to be a hotel and was converted into senior living. It is beautiful inside and has wonderful amenities.
As previously stated, when you walk in to the facility, you are struck by how well it is cared for and the décor. There are always residents around, socializing or relaxing. The staff is always present and it is easy to find someone, should you need assistance. There are signs posted all around the building reminding residents of various social activities. I have also heard from residents that the transportation provided by the facility is top notch. I have yet to hear one of my client's say something negative about the facility.
Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a five, the common areas a five, the residents' rooms a five, the staff a five and the quality of care a five.
Overall, I'd give Windemere Park a rating of 5 stars because it really is resort living with the added touches of attentive staff for those who have extra medical or personal needs.

My mother stayed at this wonderful facility for about 6 months and I visited there often while she was there. At first, both of us were very hesitant about the whole idea, but after a short time getting to know the staff and other residents we both warmed up to them very quickly. It is a very quiet place that has a fair amount of things to do without seeming too busy or too boring. The ambiance is pleasing, albeit very understated. I would recommend this place to others working within a budget and location constraints as I'm sure there are better, although as I stated earlier - the people that work there were extremely helpful at making my mother and I feel very welcome. More activities would have made her stay a bit more interesting for her ( she was very mobile and active during her time there ) but I understand if many people there are not as up and about as her.
