I toured Bellbrook. What I liked least is that it was very large, that I think my mom would have gotten lost. But they were very friendly and engaging. They were also available. They seem to have everything there, but they didn't have a pool. They had a salon, and they had a beautiful landscaping park setting outside. The dining area was beautiful. It overlooked the outdoor landscaping; it was beautiful. The room sizes were adequate. They're all pretty much the same. It was clean. They're undergoing a renovation right now, so they're renovating a lot. It's close to my mom's hospital where her doctors work from.

We went to see Bellbrook independent living. They got a great reputation on a website I visited. They have long-term employees who take care of you and they just seem to care about you. I'd like to go back there and look again.
The staff seemed caring, attentive, and warm. They seem like they cared about the elderly and their well-being. It wasn't just a job for them.
I had enough food in their restaurant inside. I've eaten there about 4 times now because it's open to the public. Right now you can order anything you want off the menu. It can be like a full meal and there's also a salad bar. About two or three Sundays ago, we were there. I had a coke and my husband had a coffee. We each had ice cream for dessert afterward, and it was 11 dollars per person. The food was not perfect but it was very good.
The facility is not as large as the others and just a little bit dated, but it wasn't too bad. It's adequate.
When you first walk in, there's a sitting area with I think a piano there. They had a library too. After we ate in their dining room, we went to the restroom on the first floor and there's a library so I went in and was looking around. I like that aspect of it. Someone who needs assisted living probably wouldn't care about that.

I visited Bellbrook in Rochester. It was nice. I like the price structure. The meals were separate, and if you didn't want to eat a meal, you weren't charged for it (I like that part). If I went out to dinner with my family, I wouldn't be charged for dinner. If I left for a month, I wouldn't be charged for a month's worth of meals.
They have a library. The staff was very nice. We had a nice chat. She was very helpful. It's an older building. The outside was not as well maintained as I would have liked, but the inside was lovely. It felt pretty homey.

The Rehab smells Pleasant Clean. Always see Nurses in the Halls checking on patients files on their computers on the moving tables. You are always able to find them when you need them with questions. The aids do the Best they can. I think they try to be very gentle. I think the facility needs to post on Name plate Reason patient is in there Broken arm, hip etc so the many aids will be aware upon walking in exactly what needs special attention to ease. People are considerate there. They don't leave people lonely and either walk them or let them be in wheelchairs hallway with them while they work the nurses moving table station. Rehab Professionals are Excellent. They really know what they are doing. I was impressed with this. They have a great report with the patients. Everything seems clean. Food good. Main dinning room on first floor is cool that anyone on 2nd floor can go there see the view of the fountain garden woods while eating. only thing I noticed is the room furnaces at top and side grade need a good spring cleaning. Other than that most all is really nice and makes one feel welcome patient or visitor.

My mother has been at Sanctuary at Bellbrook for three years now, and I think they’ve done a very nice job with everything that we’ve had to deal with. They are very supportive and provided all the information we needed as far as support. They were very cooperative and helpful to about working to some other problems that she was having. It’s a great place and very well done. They always take the time to help us with what we needed.
They have a very good dining area and the food is very good. They have a chef who does very nice job with the menu and things. They have outings for the people that live there, a library, computer services, and transportation to places like the grocery stores. Even in the memory care they take the patients that are able to go out on outings occasionally like bowling, or at the zoo. They have lots of activities and exercise programs.

My Mom was at Bellbrook to have rehab after hip surgery.
Let me start by saying some of the nurses try serve the patient well but not all. The nurses aids are young and uniformed. They kept moving my Mom abruptly and increasing the pain. The dining room is so depressing and the food is very poor. We brought in her food after a few days. She went down hill fast. She ended up with a UTI but waited 48 hours for them to start a antibiotic even though she was lethargic. Never saw a doctor! Yes, she died after being there 7 days. Will always regret taking her there.

My father stayed in Bellbrook for about three weeks. It was a very well maintained facility. They had rehab and a dining room that was marvellous. The food was really good. The staff, a senior nurse, and another person who seemed to watch the pulse watch the patients carefully. They were very good, and I was impressed by them.

It's a condo that we bought but we haven't moved in yet because we have to paint and get new carpeting. It's a senior citizen community. You can go to the main building. We didn't want a small apartment because we could still take care of ourselves but we wanted a place that we would feel at home with other people our age. In this place you have to be 62 to buy a condo. They have the big building that you can have assisted living and then you go on to nursing home in the tall building right there.
There are 35 condos on the premises and there are 12 with basements and you have to put your name in and wait for one to become vacant so we did and we signed the papers last week or so. They have many condos there without basements but both are easier to get into. I've talked to some of the people there and they've been there since it began 25 years ago and they just go in and they don't go out until they die or something. The ones without a basement are much more readily available.
There's a restaurant there that's open to the public but it closes at six o'clock and anybody can go there. We've gone there a couple of times and it's very nice. The waiters and waitresses are quite very friendly and very helpful. A lot of the people there are in wheelchairs or walkers and they help them out quite a bit. The food is very good. It depends on what you like but they have hamburgers and mori salad and the prices are very reasonable.
You're very limited in where you can park, it's mostly for guests. Your pets are very limited. You can only have certain-sized dogs or cats. They have exercise classes, yoga and computer classes. The staff is very nice, very helpful. Nothing really compares to Bellbrook for me.

My mom is in Sanctuary at Bellbrook. It is a very good facility. The staff is wonderful. My mom's room is really nice and painted well. The carpet is clean. If there is a stain in the carpet all you need is to tell the cleaning person and they will spot clean it and if it doesn't come out, then they will come in and steam the carpet. We are very happy and I will highly recommend them to anybody.

Sanctuary at Bellbrooke in Rochester Hills, MI is wonderful. I would recommend it to
adults looking for private apartments, assisted living or skilled nursing. I would also highly recommend this facility for family members looking for a top notch facility for a loved one.
When I was there in 2010, I noticed that the nurses were very attentive and involved in the care of their patients. The Director of Social Services was always available to meet with the residents and address any concerns. All staff I encountered, from Director of nursing to maintenance staff, were all experienced, always willing to lend a hand and had compassion.
Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a five, the common
areas a five, the residents' rooms a four, the staff a
five and the quality of care a five. The last time I was there, the facility was about to undergo major renovations to give the skilled nursing facility a "hotel feel". I saw the plans and it looked like it the renovations would be superb.
Overall, I'd give Sanctuary at Bellbrooke a rating of 5 stars because the whole facility goes above and beyond to make the residents feel that the facility is "home".

My friends grandfather has his own living area/apartment. It was spacious and the balcony saw out to the back of area where there was trees and garden. He had has his own kitchen and bathroom and was allowed to leave the facility with family or friend. Enjoyed the company of many friends at the facility and treated very good from my experience. I would recommend it highly to anyone that is looking in the area of Rochester Hills Michigan.
