About This Community

The Village staff and residents enjoy a sense of community that revolves around our mission. We are a non-profit, faith-based organization, with an excellent reputation. Once a resident is welcomed into the Village, they become part of an extended family.

As a “life plan community,” we offer housing and services to assist our residents in meeting their needs as they change and grow over time. Our campus features independent living apartments and cottages, assisted living and memory care options, skilled nursing for either short-term rehab or long-term care, and stay and play (respite) services.

Our amenities include chef-inspired dining options; transportation to local stores and doctor appointments; entertainment and outings; access to a library and computer room; and a health and fitness center. We are especially proud of our beautiful, non-denominational chapel.

My grandmother is living in the independent living of The Village of East Harbor Senior Living Community. The staff is very nice, they're very accommodating, but unfortunately with COVID, a lot of the things that we were used to participate in like exercise classes, and all kinds of things -- the main building is closed off to those in independent living, because they're not in that building, and they don't want people going in and out, fair enough it's her safety, and I get it -- but she hasn't been able to partake in any of that because of COVID. That means that they are a very caring staff, they offer a lot of programs, they offer exercise classes, and game nights. We're not just at a point right now where we can utilize that. I'm happy with them overall, very happy, except for when I requested information regarding their memory care, I was disappointed to see that her option would be a little tiny room with a bed in a corner. Apparently, that seems to be the case everywhere, it's not unique to them. The staff is very attentive. I'm not a huge fan of their food, I don't think it's amazing quality, so I make all of Grandma's food. It's not inedible, but it's nothing special. They're very clean, they've been remodelling for years, they're always updating stuff, and definitely that's important for them for sure.
