Facility is nice, well kept and clean. They do a great job decorating the common areas to keep the place feeling comfortable. The courtyard outside is also well kept and a nice place for your friend/family member to spend time.
There are 3 room layouts and you can decorate to make your loved ones space feel more homie, each room possessing a large bay window or sliding door which is nice.
They have a newer activities Director and she seems to do a good job planning activities for the residents in AL.
It would be helpful for the facility to have a transportation van available to the residents for additional outings/appointments since most give up their vehicles when they move in.
There is a good selection of menu items and they offer “alternatives” for each meal - when a resident doesn’t like the main dish, which is helpful.
The biggest challenge is that the turnover is high across all staff (CNA’s, Directors, and even the hair stylist). They do have a few employees who have been there for an extended period of time and those people are very helpful and caring - the ones you come to rely on.

We toured Candlestone Assisted Living & Memory Care. If you look at the checklist of what you would be looking to hopefully find something favorable, it's all the amenities and the logistics and everything, and certainly all of the staff people. The staff was friendly, informative, and looked very happy. We didn't try the food, but we heard all good things from residents when we talked with them. They have a salon, a theater, they had outdoor seating areas and a walkway around the facility.

I've got my mom in Candlestone Assisted Living, which I'm very, very pleased with. It has been amazing. It's really great. The staff is awesome. I've seen the food and it is really good. They have bingo and coloring sheets. They have these different places like Brazil and Germany, and they teach them about it. It was really good when I saw it. They have a little refrigerator and a cable TV in their room.
