We went and looked at Ludington Woods Assisted Living & Memory Care for my father-in-law. It's got very nice homey accommodations and the staff that we met was friendly. There were two rooms that we saw, one was a studio which was economical and small but it would work. And then they had a 1-bedroom which was a little larger, and both of them were very nice rooms. Their amenities were nice, they had nice shower areas and stuff for the people including activities they could do. It was out of our price range but it was a very nice place.

My mother has some dementia and could no longer live alone. She has been in Ludington Woods now for almost a year and it is the best thing I could have done for her. She has her own little "apartment" but is well cared for by the staff. She resides in the Memory Care unit and they do a terrific job in caring for her. They have activities to participate in, people come in and entertain with music, and they have field trips. The staff is very friendly and capable and they are quick to let me know if there are any problems. Any questions I have are answered and I feel secure in her care.

My father has been a resident here since February of this year. He loves it here! He has a very nice comfy private room and bath, and enjoys the meals and activities, especially bingo and off-site "field trips" to restaurants and local places of interest. The staff members are amazing and sincerely care about the residents. I have come to feel as though they are my friends, not only caregivers for my father. A few months ago, Dad broke his hip and had to spend several weeks in the hospital and rehab. He couldn't wait to get "back home", referring to Ludington Woods. This is the best situation my father could be in, and I am so thankful that he is here.

I highly recommend the Ludington Woods for assisted living. The individual care provided for a loved one is first class. Warm meals, friendly, educated staff /nurses and other community members provide a perfect home away from home. Rooms are a perfect size with your own bathroom, in house cleaning, laundry and many personal care items are provided. The daily activities along with monthly group outings to local establishments are so organized and enjoyed by all. Hair salon and even a podiatrist is available for on-site visits. I feel assured my loved one is taken care of and challenged with routine care. All care is in house - physical therapy is provided by a visiting therapist and even a physician is available if requested without leaving the building. A medical alert necklace is provided and worn at all times - which is extra comforting if help is needed. No more trips to the grocery store - 3 hot meals provided daily

Ludington Woods has been a great place for my mom; I know she's in good hands there. The staff are hard-working and diligent; the meals are great; the rooms are nice (and my mom has a great outdoor view with her own bird feeders); and there are tons of activities on-site (as well as field trips). The level of care has been consistently high. Thanks for everything you do!

The facility in Ludington is very nice. Staff has tried to keep family members informed during the most difficult of times due to Covid. Each month a calendar of events for residents is created.

Rooms are bright and offer enough room for comfort Staff is very attentive and helpful Activity staff goes above and beyond providing activities that are enjoyable and meaningful. The outside areas are well maintained and offer nice places for visits. The front porch has nice seating areas and beautiful summer hanging baskets

Ludington Woods offers different levels of care, and different styles of living accommodations. We found that less is more - a studio apartment option offered easily manageable and comfortable surroundings with a nice view outside. Staff are kind and caring, and make a genuine effort to get to know residents likes and dislikes. Pre pandemic there was a high priority placed on activities for residents (bingo, music, crafts, exercise videos, happy hour, Resident Council). Family is welcomed as pandemic restrictions allow. Have felt Ludington Woods has been the best option for our loved one - it has allowed our loved one to remain in a familiar community where we are close by.
