My sister has been adjusting well at Angel Gardens Assisted Living. The staff has been very good. If any problems arise, I'm able to converse with them. Medications are being administered, as directed by the doctor. She likes to stay in her room. She feels comfortable there, but they come and get her three times a day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or to go to a bingo game. It's not like she's being forced to be with people, but she is interacting with them. She's being fed. She calls me every day or I call her family, but we're allowed to go visit her. We take her to church on Sundays. She loves that. She can go to a restaurant with the family and she's not tied down. It's not like she's in a prison. There's a code and families are allowed to go in and out. The reason why the locks are on the door is that there are memory care residents on the third floor.

I had to make a hard decision of putting my mom in assisted living. I had several different appointments with several different assisted living places. After talking to Kamal, I knew this was the place for my mom. I cancelled all my other appointments. The place could use a remodel, but the care my mom gets is my main concern!! They have a lot of different activities for the residents. The favorites are bingo or doing puzzles. The food is excellent here. If your loved one is going to have a roommate, they wait for about 1 or 2 months to pair your loved one up with another resident. I love moms roommate. My mom has dementia and was very angry when I told her she was coming there. My mom loves it there too now that she has adjusted. Mom has been there for 10 months now. Rena has been very helpful in reporting how she thinks mom is doing. I love Rena! They have been very cautious with Covid and the residents. They only allowed 2 visits per week to protect all the residents, which was a good idea. The medications are handled by Nora and she is very much on the ball with each residents meds. The rooms are adequate. I am very happy with Angel Gardens!! ❤️

My mother has been staying at Angel Gardens for 11 months. While the building is not modern it is clean, rooms are warm in the Winter and window ACs are provided when it is warm. A couple of months ago there was a period of 2-3 weeks where I felt that my mother was not getting washed properly and her briefs changed often enough. Prior to that things had been fine so I don't know what happened. I spoke to the workers but there was no improvement. A week later I informed the top manager, Kamal, of my concerns. When she became aware of my concerns, I felt that she really wanted every resident to receive the best care possible. Things changed for the better immediately! Also, she or her assistant has made weekly contact with me to make sure that everything is okay. When my mother's sister came from across the state to visit my mother for several days, I went to the office to make arrangements and pay for her to eat lunch with my mother for 3 days. The owner told me that my aunt's lunch was "on the house". My aunt said that the lunches were very good and she like the food! They offer activities all day Monday through Saturday. Residents are encouraged to participate but it is not forced on them. The caregivers are friendly to my mom and when she has had problems with her personal cell phone, Noor tried to troubleshoot first then she called me to let me know that there was a problem. This week I received a call from Jamie letting me know that my Mom's remote for her TV was giving a low battery signal. She said that she looked in the dresser drawer but didn't see any. I appreciated the phone call. My mother has had a stroke and as a result, she is not able to speak. She would not have been able to tell me herself and she loves to watch her shows. Because of the phone call, my husband was able to bring batteries there that evening. I must admit that I am impressed with the fact that I have seen the owner on the premises multiple times even as late as 7:00 p.m. Also, top management is present for a full day on the weekends. It is very easy to find management when you have a concern.

My brother moved into Angel Gardens. I'm satisfied with them. His room is always very clean. I've seen activities for the residents like bingo, people come in to do stuff and socialize with them. They treat the people like a family member. I've heard from my brother that the food is good, and from what I've viewed, it looks very well-presented. The dining room is clean and sociable, where they're sitting amongst the friends that they’ve made. This community offers assisted living with memory care. The staff is very pleasant, I've never had a bad interaction with any of the staff members on any of the times that I've been there.

My grandfather is living here (not my choice). It is run down, old, depressing and dirty. The facility needs major improvements and is not welcoming. The elevator has been broken for over a month. The care is okay, the staff seems nice enough, but does not interact with the residents as much as they should. For example we visited my grandpa in the dining room and the staff was just passing out food and was not talking or interacting with the residents. They do not get to pick their table or who they eat with. My grandfather is made to sit with another man who he does not get along with. The care is okay, There have been some errors that have ended up causing him to go to doctor. I feel they could be doing more to deal with dehydration that has landed him in the hospital. I would not recommend sending your loved one here. I wish I had more say to get my grandfather out.

For a private pay place, Angel Gardens Assisted Living is below my expectations. There was broken furniture and dusty walls, and it did not looked well maintained. The people I interacted with seemed friendly. It was priced pretty competitively, but it did not have the same aesthetic as other places.

The staff at Angel Gardens’ takes good care of my friend. It’s a clean environment. They keep her secure and stay on top of her medical care. I have peace of mind. The rooms have a full-size bed, TV, and bathroom, and the showers are separate down the hill. It’s not very big, with only 55 or 65 residents.

If you want better care than Angel Gardens, I suggest that you drop off your loved one at the local dog pound. Residents are not kept clean, and are tied into their wheelchairs. There is minimal staff and medications are passed by an aide, not a nurse. Many of the meals are bean soup. My mother was found on the floor of the dining room with no employees in sight. After she was transported to the hospital for dehydration, the directors refused to refund the $4000.00 security deposit. If you use this facility, I suggest that you first get a lawyer involved to read the contract.

Only gave it a star because they made me! I visited this facility on numerous occasions and was not impressed. The staff was unprofessional. A resident let me in the door, which is a major safety issue. The bathrooms were not kept clean. And on top of that, they dont even have a nurse passing meds nor doing woundcare OR doing tube feedings. I Wouldn't put my loved one here let alone my dog!

My mother-in-law was at Angel Gardens for two years before she passed away. We chose it because it was less expensive and they seemed to take care of her more. The caregivers seemed to really care for the seniors. The entertainment and nursing care were good. The environment was very clean and the food was good too.

I visited Angel Gardens because it was close to where I lived. It was a really nice place but costly. It was clean and it smelled good. The staff were courteous and friendly. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. The rooms were made of hard wooden floors and well-kept. I was not able to look at the menu, but they claimed to serve healthy snacks. The facility had different activities everyday for the residents.

When I visited Angel Gardens, it was under the name, Laurel Park West. It looks like it is a respectable home for people who are on a lower income. I had gone with a friend of mine who had a relative that was staying here. The relative was pretty ill and needed a lot of care. It seemed that most of the patients had issues or were going to be needing lots of help from the staff. I found the staff to be polite and the place seemed very tidy, although there wasn't much to look at. It was a small set up and there didn't appear to be much going on. I'm not sure if the patients were beyond the stages where they would want to interact with each other, but many of them seemed sedentary. It could have been the timing as well. I was only there for about two hours. It might have been down time as far as the place was concerned. I would say that this place could be an dependable option if you have someone that needs quite a bit of assistance.

THIS IS A REVIEW WRITTEN FOR THE ADULT DAY CARE PROGRAM AT ANGEL GARDENS. ANGEL GARDENS HAS MADE A BIG IMPROVEMENT IN MY HUSBANDS "will to live' AND ATTITUDE. HE LOOKS FORWARD TO GOING TO DAY CARE THREE DAYS A WEEK BECAUSE HE HAS ALOT OF FUN, FOOD AND SNACKS ARE GOOD. HAS MET MANY PEOPLE OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS WHICH HAVE BECOME HIS FRIENDS. PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE WHETHER THEY ARE YOUNG OR OLD AND ANGEL GARDENS HAS GIVEN HIM SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR. STAFF AND CAREGIVERS ARE THE BEST AND GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ASSIST. MAYBE NOT THE PRETTIEST BUT CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST...(BOBBI, ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR IS ONE IN A MILLION, SHE CARES FOR ALL THESE PEOPLE, YOUNG AND OLD)

I think Laurel Park West Home Care, is an excellent choice for a home care provider for someone who is looking for someone to take care of their independent living friend or family member. That prefers to live independently and need access to outside supportive care and assistance when needed Laurel Park West Home Care agency, offer assistance with personal cares such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. In addition to their providers help in meal preparation, housekeeping and shopping. They also offer assistance with self administered medication, ambulation, exercises, and transportation to medical appointments. Their supportive services can be arranged for various amount of times needed including up to 24/7 or on a respite or temporary time basis. They also provide a variety of other services to fit the individual care plan assessed by their professional Care Team of Nurses. In general, I would rank this service a five stars rating for their excellence and expertise. Their staff of healthcare professionals are also very task, team oriented in their job duties and performances.

I just visited Laurel Park West for a client (I'm a geriatric care manager), who may need assisted living and wanted me to check it out for him. The facility itself is an older building"”it looks like it might have been a small hotel or office at one time"”and is set back in an odd spot. It has a very institutional look and feel. There are a lot of businesses around it, including a few restaurants. When I visited, I had a hard time finding any staff"”literally. There just doesn't seem to be anyone around. I had a hard time finding anyone even to let me out. It's supposed to offer dementia care to those in the early stages, but I didn't see anything that would prompt me to recommend it. No activities. There's just a big room, with tables, and a lot of people just sitting there.
