My father moved into The Neighborhoods of White Lake. It seems very good. He's getting a lot of attention. The staff introduced themselves when we came in. He's been there eight days or something like that, and he's already got hooked up with the physical therapy team. So far, I'm very pleased, but I had a warning just before I took him. I went to sign some paperwork and they were locked down for COVID. Since then they've opened up before he got checked in and it's OK, but it does have that problem. It is a sister to St. Joe's which has a policy of locking down fairly quickly. I'm not too happy about that, but the rest of it, I'm very pleased about. He goes on outings or field trips. So far, he's been going on two a week. He goes on Tuesdays and Fridays, and he's been to the planetarium, he's been to Greenfield Village, I think it was, and next week he's scheduled to go to a little jazz thing, and then he's going to a birthday party. They have a movie night, and so they're keeping them pretty active. His room is excellent. They have outdoor seating and bird feeders outside of the windows, and it's in the country. So it's a pretty setting, but looking out his window, he can see Kroger's, JCPenney's, but he can also see a big wood. He has a great room, he's on the ground floor, and he has a good view. Outside all they have is just settings and table areas, and I didn't notice much more than that. He has loved the food so far. He's had everything from Thanksgiving dinner to pork loin. He has a good lunch, they always have some kind of dessert, and he loves desserts, so he's very happy with the food. They gave us a great deal. They have a setup called neighborhoods, where there are 12 residents in the setting and then there are different floors for each neighborhood. They had some vacancies. So this place is normally sixty-four hundred dollars a month for assisted living and for the first year we got a pretty good deal of five thousand dollars a month. So I thought it was an excellent price.
