The tour I had at Anthology of Novi went very well. I liked that they had a lot of flexibility. For example, for mealtime, you can eat any time from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. while some of the other places had set meal times, which were pretty early for dinner, like 4:30 to 5:30. So, having the opportunity to pick your own time to eat was important. I liked the rooms that they showed us and the activities that they had. They had music concerts on Tuesdays (which is something my mother likes), church services, and an opportunity for communion as well. The staff were all very nice. I noticed that when we were taking the tour, the lady with us knew every resident by name. So, they seemed to know their residents well and all the residents we saw looked very happy. They were out and about and doing things. They also had a movie theater, a gym, and a nice library. There were a lot of people sitting and chatting with each other in the main rooms. The facility was very clean and I liked the fact that in the room that we've picked, there's a little island in the kitchen so that you can sit down and eat something there, which I hadn't seen in other places.

I really liked Anthology of Novi. It was a very nice facility, but the location was not ideal. It was a very modern and new building, and there's a lot of space. The staff is immunized. They have pretty much everything. I like the place, but it was miles away from anybody to visit. The staff was very interested. They were chatty on the tour. Everybody seemed committed towards the good of the facility for the residents. They're right next to a big garden center that gives classes, tours, and things. Every floor had a smaller private meeting room, if you wanted to stay up near your mom's room or down in the larger rooms on the main floor. It was very nice. The rooms all have about the same layout and the same size.

Anthology of Novi is a very positive and supportive community with lots of services and activities. It's like a five-star resort. It's a really beautiful facility. My mom is in a studio apartment, and it is clean, modern, and sufficient for her and her needs. The whole place is kind of modern and updated too, rather than traditional. The staff has been very friendly and attentive. Maybe they could be a little bit more involved though, but for the most part, they're good. They could use more help in the dining room, but I think that's common everywhere. Food is delicious. They have all-day dining, so you can eat whenever you want to. They have a daily special that you can order off the menu and they're very flexible in their meals. They allow visitors to eat with the residents, which I appreciate. They have a full daily schedule of activities, including exercises, field trips, bingo, and music. I'm very happy with the activities because there are things that she can participate in or not.

My mom has moved into Anthology of Novi. I like that they have restaurant-style dining, so it doesn't have fixed mealtimes. It's pretty much 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., so any time if you want food, you just go to the dining area, and the waiter comes out, you order what you want, and they make it. It's a new facility. It has only been open for not even a year, so upkeep is very nice and it's got a hotel atmosphere. The one thing I would like them to do more is prompt my mom to do things a little more, which we discussed, and they said they'll do. She has only been there a month, so they're still getting used to her. The food is very good. It's restaurant-style. You can pretty much order whatever you want. They have a menu they change every month, and then they have daily specials for each meal. I've eaten there several times and I've had nothing bad. It's really good value for money.

My mom was one of the first residents in Independent Living at Anthology in Novi. After 7 months, her needs changed and she moved to the Assisted Living area. So this review encompasses both living environments. In my mom's words, she was very happy there. Yes, the facility is new and beautiful, but the true beauty about Anthology Novi lies within THE PEOPLE - The Anthology Team and the residents! They are building something very special here: a fun, warm, caring, connected community. Was everything perfect in this new facility? No, BUT, The Anthology Team timely addressed every need and every concern we ever had. When mom's needs changed, Linda saw that I was stressed to figure out a new plan, and she stopped what she was doing and worked through it with me. Mom and I were relieved that Anthology could handle her new demanding health care needs and she did not have to be uprooted from her new home and new friends. Mom was legally blind, yet Jill found ways to include her in the activities, even creating a special BINGO card with poker chips for covers. The concierge team is made up of kind, conscientious and caring individuals that provide the most compassionate and comprehensive services to the residents. I cannot say enough good things about the nurses and aides that attended to my mom. Her needs were significant and they rose to the occasion - always kind and caring. Mom was able to "hospice in place" in her apartment at Anthology. In our darkest days, we had the brightest angels caring for all of us as we sat vigil with mom. The Anthology Family was there for us, visiting us, sitting with us, making sure we slept a bit and had something to eat all while keeping mom as comfortable as possible in the most respectful way. We are forever grateful. So yes, there are great amenities: a theater room where movies are played many days/evenings of the week, a game room, but games are played all over the building too, a golf simulator, an exercise room, a salon, outdoor sitting areas with fireplaces (Smore's night on Tues. evening), Sunday sundaes, musical entertainment and local trips, crafting and snacks and beverages and a pub... But the unique amenity here is the people!

We were very impressed with Anthology, especially the newest one in Novi. They had the wow factor. The concern we would have, especially that one, since it's brand new, would be staffing, and just a good community developed by the administrators there. No reason to think not, but it's new. It was a very impressive facility. I liked that the laundry facilities were in each room, so the caregiver would be able to do their laundry right there and not mix it up and get lost with others. That was something we appreciated at that point. The facilities were brand new, so they were very impressive. I didn't pay too much attention to the amenities except the one room we looked at had a marvelous balcony that looked over some green areas. The activities were very well-organized, and I'm sure it's because they're all brand new.
