My tour at American House West Bloomfield was good. It's just that the rooms were a little small, other than that it was ok. The person who gave the tour was very good and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and nice, and the dining area was a nice size and spaced out nicely. The staff was very pleasant and nice.

My brother was at American House West Bloomfield. I like that the staff is attentive and I like that he can still use his VA benefits, like his care provider can still come there and we will still have those benefits going. As his health declined, their staff just stepped up and continued to give him services and to keep him comfortable, and they worked well with hospice. The coordination of care was really great. We were able to be with him when we wanted to, like if one of us wanted to stay the night or his children wanted to stay the night, nobody fussed about it. It was very comfortable. They went above and beyond to keep everything going as he began to decline. In terms of the level of activity, they did some nice things. They tried really hard to keep them engaged in different activities, but he didn't always feel well. The facility was always clean and neat. I've never ever smelled odor or anything with all the seniors that they have there. They do a really good job of keeping it clean. From moving around at some of the other places in the area, the price here was a little better than average.

My father is in American House West Bloomfield, and he's content. One thing that we like about it is that it's clean, very clean. They have a community room, they play cards together. They have different programs, they go on where the seniors can come out and have music, or a band play, and readings. The community has a lot going for them. Whenever I called the staff to give my dad some resistance, they normally go right to him to check on him. They deliver his food on time when he's supposed to have it.
They have a dining room, and for those residents that can't get there themselves, the staff normally gets them to the dining room. And if you can't make it to the dining room, the staff will bring you your meals to your room at an additional cost. They have a TV room. They have a coffee room. They have a courtyard where the residents can go out and get some sunshine.

The prices offered by American House West Bloomfield were very competitive. They offered a kitchenette and a sitting area with a separate bedroom and a private bathroom. We thought that was a great facility for my mother to have. Other places often had just a bedroom with bedroom furniture and nothing else there. Others have shared bathrooms too, which would not work for her.
The staff was very friendly. We were all wearing masks and they were very willing to work with us as far as how many weeks and how many days she'll move in. They met on all our requirements. There are lots of activities available, but not during the pandemic. Right now, they'll be isolated in their rooms and meals will be brought on trays. Once that changes, they will open up and they'll be able to do more activities.
Their dining area was pleasant looking, with big windows everywhere and supposedly they have a very good chef. My husband's sister-in-law was at that home for a while and they've given us food reviews on the food, so we'll see on that. They have a salon and a music room where you can sit down and play the piano too.

American House West Bloomfield was very nice inside, very clean, and very spacious. The rooms were a little smaller the way they were laid out, and the bathrooms were a little smaller as well. My father's gonna be using a wheelchair for a while, so it would've been very difficult for him to get into the bathroom with a wheelchair. They said they have wheelchair accommodating rooms, but I did not see one. They had more of an a la carte kind of system. So, they were less expensive in the room, but with my dad's situation, it would've been very expensive for care. That's part of the reason why I did not choose them. The staff seemed very nice, and the director was very, very helpful and very friendly. I could ask any questions that I wanted. It just wasn't right for my dad, but the facility was very nice and the facade was very nice. I didn't see many of the staff given the situation, but they seemed very nice and friendly when I interacted with them.

My brother is at American House West Bloomfield. He's not satisfied being there. I don't know exactly what's going on right now, but I'm still trying to get him situated, and he already signed a lease. It was nice and clean. The people were nice. We didn't see any activities going on, but I know they have different things. It's expensive for me.

I went to American House to see what they had to offer for my dad. I met with Latresa Bates, who was absolutely amazing! She showed me around the facility and took time to answer all my questions. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Latresa addressed all of my concerns and helped me to feel confident about leaving my dad in their care. Her energy and enthusiasm was nothing less than refreshing. She was very attentive to my needs and offered information that I didn't know to ask. Excellent customer service!

I have had my dad in American House for two months now. The experience has been good. The staff is very friendly, and I feel good when I go see my dad. He seems content. They have three meals a day and a varied menu. They have very supplemental activities. He is in a studio-type apartment, but they do have one- and two-bedrooms available. My dad takes the cooking class that some of the residents are hosting. They have movie nights and happy hour.

American House West Bloomfield Senior Living was OK. One of the restrictions about my brother's condition was that he cannot eat gluten food, and they don't cater to that. Other than that, it was an acceptable place. They take the residents to local shopping areas and doctors' appointments. There was only 1 dining time which is open for 2 hours. The gal that showed us the room was great. She was really attentive and showed us anything we asked to see. The rooms were small. Otherwise, it was lovely. There were residents in the entry social area that were playing cards, and it was a pleasant experience.

I liked American House. The people were very helpful who gave me the tour and were very kind and answered all of my questions. I was very pleased with what I saw, but it was quite expensive, and I was waiting to hear from the veterans' administration. We went in the cafeteria but didn't try the food.

American House West Bloomfield Senior Living is a wonderful facility with excellent staff. I highly recommend it. From the moment I walked in the door to all of the people I met, it was top notch. I don't have any complaints. The place was clean, orderly, and very well presented. It had a united family type of approach in terms of how the staff knew each other and worked together and how they cared about the residents. They had a board full of activities. The dining room was very nice, in which I saw ncely presented, fresh vegetables and fresh salads.

The executive director and the staff at American House-West Bloomfield was extremely nice and very engaging. Their residents were a lot younger and active. The place is more set up for residents who are active.

My husband is in American House West Bloomfield, and it fit his needs. He has his own bathroom and shower. He has a furnished studio apartment. I've eaten a few meals, and they were good. I am paying for his deluxe package of assisted living. They come in the morning and help him get dressed. They take him to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They give him his medications. They come in the afternoon and bedtime and help him. Every two hours during the night, somebody is supposed to come in and check on him. He is under supervision, plus they take him to the activities if he wants to participate. He is really not into music, but today he was in a concert, and I'm happy with it.
It's a nice inviting facility. The staff are good. They have a nurse who is really on top of things. We had a mix up with the medication, and she was very instrumental in getting that straightened out. She won't give him anything unless she has a prescription with the doctor's name on it. He hasn't been there a whole month yet. So far, it's very good. They have a little café. It's more affordable than other places.

We choose American House for mom because of its affordability, its proximity to my sister's house and the quality of the facility. We are happy with American House because she seems to be doing good there. My mother thinks that the food is good. It has high quality meals. They have two choices of entrees per meal. My mom is comfortable with the caregivers and the residents. The facility is cleaner and newer looking. The way the room is heated is more efficient because it has an air-conditioner/heater in the room. It doesn't smell bad like the other places. It didn't have a ramp. They have more activities for the residents and they publish a newsletter that tells us what's going on.

American House at West Bloomfield was just wonderful. I was very happy with what I saw on my initial visit. It was lovely, clean, and homey. The little individual rooms were set up very well. The staff was wonderful. I don't have a bad thing to say about the place except for the price. Their price is outrageous.

American House West Bloomfield Senior Living was one of best assisted living facilities and that is why I chose them for my loved one. They offer flexible visiting hours, the staff is friendly, and my loved one was well taken care of. I am very satisfied with the customer service at American House West Bloomfield Senior Living. W.B American House was very prompt as far as communication, fast response times, and a satisfactory service for their residents which was evident through the care that they provided for my loved one. Their cleanliness is amazing! The staff is very dedicated. When I called with a question, someone called me back right away and then did a follow-up to ensure that I was satisfied with the service, in which I was. The staff that takes care of my loved one was polite, professional, and very prompt. I am very satisfied with my experience with American House and I definitely recommend this assisted living facility for anyone who truly cares about the well-being of their loved one.

I am a friend of a resident of American House Assisted Living Facility.
In general, I thought the American House Assisted Living facility was an excellent placement for anyone that is looking for a placement for a friend or a family member.
The grounds of the facility are beautiful and very well maintained and the landscape is also very well structured and coordinated. The common areas of the
facility are in a beautiful neighborhood and the surrounding areas are also beautiful and eye catching. The residents' rooms are very nice and clean and the facility doesn't smell. The residents look happy and the food taste excellent; I had lunch with my friend. Family members and friends can buy their lunch or dinner and eat in the formal dining room or in the resident room with the resident they are visiting.
The staff and management of the facility are professional, and team, task oriented in their job duties and performance and the facility doesn't smell. I think the residents receive excellent care there.
While I was there, I noticed that the residents were attending another resident birthday party and the staff was serving the residents cake and ice cream. The American House offers their residents; movie night 2 times a week, activity and recreational events and other social and functional gatherings are offered to their residents on regular basis. American House has various fruit juice, various fruits, and many other snacks that they offer their residents throughout the entire day on a daily basis. I would have to give American House a five star rating in all areas.
Overall, The American House is an excellent placement and I would
recommend it to everyone, anyone, 50 and over because I know that they would like it there and I know that they would receive excellent care there.
