My Mother enjoys the daily walks, church services and bingo. My Father likes playing cards and bingo. It's a friendly place to visit and family members are encouraged to visit.

My husband was a resident of Vista Springs Astounding Joy, and I was impressed with the business person that I talked with when she gave me the tour. The facility itself is very nice and extremely clean. They have a chef on staff, and the food is very good. The rooms are nice, but I had to furnish his room myself. The thought and the care he received was good. The director there was pleasant, but I don't think she is very good at following through. I'll give you an example. My husband died on the morning of Sunday, April the 18th. I was not notified that he had passed. I happened to be just calling there to check on him because they were closed due to an employee testing positive for Covid. I was calling them, and I was not able to get anyone to answer the phone. I left a message for the director, and she didn't call me back. Finally, I happened to call his hospice nurse. When she answered the phone, I told her who I was, and she says, "I'm so sorry." I said, "what are you sorry for?" She asked if Vista Springs called me and I said no and asked why? She told me my husband passed away this morning, and I still haven't heard a month later from the director.

We love Vista Springs Astounding Joy. My mother said she likes the food. It's very clean and organized, and during this COVID they're actually using their dining room. It's like the building is in a bubble, and they get to do things. The apartments are nice, too. Their one-bedrooms and efficiencies. They have a calendar of activities. They have something that the family can sign up for, too, so they can view the calendar and Mom goes to probably 80% of them. They have several things every day.

Vista Springs was really nice, and the staff was nice. It was open, bright, and didn't have a smell. It felt like you were more in a really nice apartment complex than a nursing facility. There was a book club, crafting classes, game day, and movie nights. They had a lot of stuff to do and nice variety too.

I wasn't impressed with Vista Springs. The common areas weren't big; they have individual rooms for people, but they cost more. The activities weren't as diverse as the other places.

I loved it. My uncle would have gone there if he was still sick because it was awesome. Everything about it was good. It’s all expensive, but the rooms were great. You can have your own room, or for a lesser cost, be with somebody else. There are several different places where you can go to eat, and they have lots of places where they can go hang out and visit.

I had an excellent tour at Vista Springs. I was allowed to talk to some of the residents, and they were all very happy and very open. It was overall a good experience. The place is extremely clean, the residents all have smiles on their faces, and they seem to be very happy and very comfortable. The staff seem to know all the residents, and the residents know all the staff. However, my friend had no room available at that time.

My mother-in-law has been at Vista Springs for almost a month now, and she loves it. They are great with her and really get in touch if there is a problem. Once we got her there, she is very comfortable and enjoying her time; she really likes it. They have regular apartments, even in the memory care unit; and they can also have a one-bedroom apartment, or they can share a room. They can also have a studio apartment, which she has. They get three meals a day, snacks, and never go hungry there. The food is fantastic, as we had dinner there. They had a party, like a Thanksgiving thing, and everybody was invited. For Christmas, they are doing a dinner. Every week they have stuff for her to do. They take her out of the room and make her go upstairs. They have music therapy, sing-along, and bingo. They clean her apartment, bathroom is complete, and she gets a shower three times a week. They do all her laundry for her too.
