I toured Craft Care Homes - Mason. I like the location. It's set back from the road. I realized that it was a house that they made into an assisted living place, so it gave more of a homey feeling to it, which I think would be nice. They only have five people that they can have, so it's not large. There would be a lot more attention for my mom. What I liked least about it is the bathroom. It is actually down the hall from the bedroom that I was looking at from my mom. They do a lot of activities with what the people that live there want to do. It's not like dictated what they're having all the time just because it's a smaller facility, and it's more of a home setting. The staff that toured us was pretty good. It could use a little upgrading, but not being updated isn't something that would deter people from staying there.

My father was a resident of Craft Care Homes Mason. The rooms did not have en suite bathroom and that was a big issue for him. The clients that lived there were really quite a bit older and quite a bit further along in the aging process, so it made it more difficult for him to have any kind of friendships. There are a limited number of people so it is just too small, I guess. It was an actual home that was renovated to be a facility. It is quite large, but the rooms were small. The place was clean. I'd say it is good for someone who enjoys country living and live in a quieter place with minimal interaction.
