We were guided to Green Acres as my sister could no longer care for our mother in her home. It became the greatest blessing we could have received. It reminded us of a little village setting - very clean with large Dining room, Activity room and wonderful apartment type resudent rooms The staff is phenomenal..Michelle, Lori, Anthony. Taylor just to name a few..they loved my mom like she was their own. We can't say or thank God enough for bringing us to this place. Thank you ALL for everything you've done for Madelyn!

We've moved mom to Green Acres of Allendale, and it's probably the best place we could ever have chosen. It's very clean, it's a beautiful place, and compared to a lot of nursing homes, it does not feel like a nursing home at all. It's an assisted living and we appreciate her being there. Her room has everything, it has a very adequate and really cute kitchenette. It has a sitting area, a very large bathroom, and it has a separate bedroom. They have an activities coordinator, they do several activities in a week with the residents, and they do a very good job. The residents are all very much involved with what they're doing there. They have a beauty salon and barbershop. They have an activities room, but they don't have a separate library, although they have an area where they can sit, play games, they can make puzzles. They bring in a lot of activities for them and they also have an exercise program for the elderly. Usually, most mornings they have a little exercise where they have all the patients participate in who can do it. They don't force anybody, they can do it on their own. The food is excellent, it is very healthy. And my mom needs pureed food and they do a very good job with that. But we've seen the dinners, we've seen what she gets, and there's a big variety. The staff is very impressive and wonderful. We are very happy with the value for money because it was a lot less than a semi-private in a lot of other nursing homes. For quite a bit less, she's getting total care.

Mom was pleased with Green Acres. She likes the room she was in, and she likes the food, too. There are plenty of activities during the week to keep them busy. The staff was very friendly. Her room had a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. There's a separate bedroom and a separate bath that is quite big. She had a nice bay window that looks out in to the woods. It was very nice. They have really good food.
