Christian Rest Home Assoc would not take my dad. I would have put him there if they were to take him. They said he requires too much care. They have memory care in full, but they would not take him because he requires too much care. The tour was good. But they have no rooms with single occupancy. All they had were shared rooms. I don't like the idea of shared rooms. The staff who accommodated me were very pleasant. I know they had bingo and crafts, but I didn't see that much going on. But I know they have these activities.

Christian Rest Home was very small. The man who showed us around was extremely helpful, but the facility was very dark and definitely not what we were looking for. The showers were all down the hallway. They had music playing for the residents.

visited mother and father almost everyday, always clean. The workers are kind and treated people like they were their own family. I always had the peace of mind that my parents had the best of care.

The staff were all amazing especially the nurse aides. Everyone was always very professional and kind. The facility itself was very small and cramped, but was always clean. My biggest issue was there was only one tiny dining area for each hall. No place for residents to go but in the hall or dining room. In my personal opinion it was not the best for rehabilitation. It was more of a place for people to go when they could not take care of themselves any more. I never saw a rehabilitation therapist only nurse aides and nurses doing the bare minimum rehabilitation requirements. The food was good quality but the menu was pretty much the same thing every week. The residents didn't seem to mind the repeat nor did my own family members. My major issue with the nursing home is that they do not supply the residents with personal hygeine items. Family members must buy and bring in these items, but I noticed that sometimes I would see the nurse aides using a residents item on someone else. These items are expensive to buy and its expensive to reside in these homes if they are requiring you to buy your own items and are using them as they please they should at least lower the cost to live there.

Christian Rest Home is actually a pretty good assisted living facility. The premise is quiet and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and supportive. They seem to know all the residents by name and are willing to work with you to provide care for your family. We were able to reserve and use their all purpose room a number of times to share birthdays and special occasions with our Grandmother with no real problems. The grounds aren't big, but they're nice. There's a little bird sanctuary just inside, and more than once I've been greeted by somebody playing or singing music nearby. The rooms aren't huge, but there is enough space for some personal effects and a T.V. As far as I know, all the rooms are shared, but I may be wrong about that. They do allow pets to visit. I've seen a number of dogs coming in and out of the facility although they might have to be approved therapy dogs. It is a little out of the way, as it's kind of tucked inside a neighborhood, but that might be a good thing as it makes it quiet on the grounds. At any rate, I don't have a lot of experience with different homes, but so far I've been very satisfied with the care that Christian Rest Home provides.
