I toured Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods for my dad. If I was going into assisted living, this is where I would want to be. I really liked it there. I liked the atmosphere, and the people were very nice. The best touch for me was the dog and the cat; only because that feels like home to people. I think it was small enough, and I know he would get the care that he needs there. I thoroughly enjoyed being there. The room setups were great. There isn't anything bad I can say about the place. I would want to be there if it was me. The staff member was fantastic; she answered every question that I had. We went on a tour. She gave me a folder with information that I could refer to, which is going to be very, very helpful; there was a checklist. She gave me pricing, and we went through just about everything. If I could have moved in, I would have moved him in yesterday. I didn't try any food there, but there were residents there that were sitting at the tables, and they had just gotten done with lunch. They all seemed to be very nice. They were very clean. I didn't see anything out of out of the ordinary that I would have any concerns about. I liked their hominess, I guess it would feel like home being there. There was just a small courtyard off the back. I think there was one upstairs as well, but I didn't go up there; I just saw it from when I drove through. If anybody wants to go outside, there are places to be on an enclosed porch. There were two open porches in the front of the building, and then there was an enclosed flower garden in the back; it was very nice.

If people could afford Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods, it would be excellent. The employees and caregivers all seemed to be cohesive and working together. They were very knowledgeable, pleasant, and made an effort to recommend ways to help us financially. The facility location was great and the grounds were nice. It was a locked facility for memory care so it’s very good and well-managed. The place was very comfortable, clean, useful, and the designs of the areas were very nice. They had quite a few daily programs. They also had daily change of menus and really good activities like dancing and bingo.
