I toured Meadows Assisted Living and Care Campus for my husband. The place was nice. The atmosphere was very quiet. They kept everything locked up tight. You have to have a key to get in. Jennifer took care of everything, and she was just as nice as could be. She answered all my questions. We went into a room, and then she left us. She was busy doing something. She asked us to go into a big open room with a couch and chairs. It looked like they had a nice patio off of this big room. It was the same room where they had their Christmas tree. She seemed like she was in a lot of demand for calls, which I understand because she's working. I think she was the only woman I saw working there because she had to come around from behind and unlock the doors to let us in. She only showed me a private room. It was a good size. It had a bed, a TV, and a bathroom. The dining room just looks like a big room with tables and four chairs around them. There was a longer table with more chairs. There was only one woman sitting there eating when I was there that day. We went down one hallway and I saw about five or six women sitting there, and they had the TV on.

We're not able to see my mother-in-law at the Meadows Assisted Living and Care Campus, but from what we're hearing, she's doing well. Her dementia is pretty severe, so we chose this community because it's very friendly, open, and interesting, and they had availability. I've got cell numbers for several people at the facility, and they respond right away. It's clean, small, family-owned, and it's close to where my father-in-law and many of my husband's brothers are living, too. They have activities. I'm eager for us to be able to get into the facility, although we understand why we can't at this point. But she already had her first COVID vaccine there, and we expect a second one in another week or so.

I enjoyed my visit at Meadows. It was very nice. The people were very nice and very friendly, but at this point, it's just too overwhelming to consider going that way. The facility was nice, clean, and seemed efficient. The people seemed happy. The rooms were adequate. The dining area was clean, nice, and well laid out.
