Genesis Senior Living Sterling Heights was clean. We went to the memory care area and it didn't have much outdoor space. The lady who toured us around was friendly. She met me there on time and was very nice. They had pretty basic rooms. It was an average-sized bedroom and it's like for a single person. The dining area was clean. The surrounding was quiet and things were orderly.

We went to visit Genesis Senior Living Sterling Heights for my aunt. The home was very clean. They were very accommodating and very informative, and I liked the fact that when we walked in they said, "We don't think that this is the appropriate place for her" because it was lower acuity patients that were there, and they didn't feel she would be comfortable there. So, they were honest, and they said, "This probably isn't the place for her." I was looking for a 24-hour care because my aunt has dementia, but the patients that were there were more advanced dementia.
It was very nice, and it was very clean. It seemed like the home was very organized. It's a private home, like it's not a large facility, it's just a five-bedroom home. The surrounding was nice. They kept it very clean, and it was very organized. The nurse was there on staff and caring for the patients while someone else gave me the tour. The person who gave me the tour was very kind, very informative, and very friendly. She cared about my aunt's needs rather than just trying to fill the room they had available, which I appreciated. So they didn't let me just move my aunt in there just to find out that she wouldn't fit in. She's still very active and things, she just can't live alone because of her dementia.
