About This Community
We are a warm elegant residential community that provides full assisted living and memory care for the entire remaining period of our residents lives. Chester Street becomes home to our residents and their families. All rooms are private, with bath rooms, showers, cable TV service and a private telephone number. Our purpose is to make the lives of our residents and their families a nice as possible under their individual circumstances. Our goal is to do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY for the benefit of our residents and their families.

My aunt is staying in Chester Street Residence memory care. They're a 5-star place. They take good care of her. They make sure that she's secure and that she doesn't get out and they make sure that she remembers her meds and to clean up after herself and take good care of her. The staff is phenomenal. I take stuff to them all the time and they're so good. The food was great. I've tasted it myself, and it is delicious. The facility is very nicely done. It couldn't be any better. It's just a beautiful place. They have activities and all kinds of things that go on. I'm just so happy that my aunt is there and being well taken care of. I have visited other family members elsewhere, and this one is the best.

My mother was in another memory care facility for the past two years and fell. She was sent to the hospital for just under two weeks. We were informed of her discharge with just a few hours notice from the hospital. The facility she was residing in informed us they weren't going to take her back in that moment because they felt they could no longer care for her without us also providing 24/7 independent care. We weren't in a position to do that. I'm sure most people aren't. My and husband and I were referred to The Chester Street Residence. Marty and Trish met with us within an hour. We were extremely distraught and lost. They both put our minds at ease immediately and made the transition from the hospital to Chester Street seamless. My mom has been there for two weeks and we are very pleased with the staff, communication and facility. We appreciate all of their support and wish we would have known about them a lot sooner. My mom does have a part time independent care giver who has been with my mom for four years and visits almost daily. She was never happy with the previous facility and is very happy with the care she is receiving here.

My friend is in Chester Street Residence. I've been there numerous times. The director who runs the place is a very nice person, she understands what needs to be done, and the staff there is great. It's clean and updated. It's a nice facility. They provide numerous things. She gave me a list, but it seems that there's quite a bit going on there. Everybody seems to be pretty happy there. I've looked at a few other ones, but this seems to be top of the line.

We did a tour of Chester Street Residence. We saw only staff that were at the desk; there were one or two people there. All the doors were shut, I don't know how they could think they could see inside these rooms because I can't.
I really didn't see any amenities because they weren't eating at the time. There is one amenity that was really nice; they have an outdoor patio, and they're buying all new furniture for it. That was very nice.
They have shown the room from up in the hall, and they didn't take me in or anything. They claim that they have activities, but I didn't see any. I saw the owner, he was fine. It was alright.

First Impression - no unpleasant odor - ever! Friendly, kind, caring efficient staff took excellent care of my husband for 2 years and was equally as kind to me and my family. Placing my husband in a facility was difficult but necessary. I never had occasion to regret choosing Chester Street Residence. He was happy, content, well fed, well cared for; he never asked to "go home." It quickly became home. I never hesitate to recommend Chester Street to anyone needing a fine placement for a loved one.

This facility provided a very positive and was outstanding in the care of our loved one. It is run with a common-sense approach that deals with residents as well as family members in a way that is very positive. The Staff is very helpful and respectful of both their Staff and Residents.
A close friend recommended this facility and it proved to be an excellent choice!

So happy that my sister is in a nice, safe place. She has early onset dementia and it's hard to live away in another state. I'm very impressed with the ownership and care of our loved one. She appears happy and well adjusted, eats well and seems very cared for when we visit. The staff is so nice and engaging.

If you are looking for exceptional hands-on care for your loved one, then you should consider Chester Street Residence. It is a relatively small facility (52 private rooms) on two floors. It is owner operated by Mary S. and his son Scott which I appreciated because they were always accessible.
The downside is that there are not many activities for the residents (one per day), but this became less of a problem as mom's advanced dementia prevented her from participating.
Lack of activities was offset by a truly caring and compassionate staff !

This place is phenomenal. My mother has been living here for 1 year now. She has dementia. Every time I visit she is awake, clean, out and about. Her room is spotless. Every staff person knows her and treats her like family. There is no turnover which is unheard of in this industry. The food is delicious. She was in 2 facilities before this one and there is no comparison. They take care of her every need. Every medical professional she needs comes there so there hasn’t been any need to drag her out to appointments. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place.

My mother is staying at Chester Street Residence. It is a very loving home for people who need assisted living. My mom has Alzsheimer and has been cared and loved by the exceptional staff working there. They are extremely accommodating and receptive to her needs. The Enviroment at Chester Street Residence is a calm, loving one, where my mom gets good nutritious food, exercise, and plenty of one on one care. She is happy here, and I'm extremely thankful to both the staff and the management. You and your loved one will also find loving hands here, don't hesitate to visit this wonderful facility.
