Memory Care

For residents who require cognitive support, we offer security, 24-hour nurse support and licensed care – everything that families need to be assured their loved ones are safe. Our approach is defined by our belief that, above all, these residents deserve love and respect. Our associates receive special training that helps give them the skills and empathy to improve the quality of life for our Memory Care residents. By showing our love and connecting with these special residents, we enhance their sense of security and contentment.

Memory Care includes:

  • Continuous monitoring to ensure resident safety
  • Help to ease wandering, pacing, anxiety and paranoia, with problem-solving interventions
  • Proper nutrition management
  • Support of residents’ emotional needs through individualized techniques
  • Family-centered consultation and involvement for better outcomes
  • Regular support groups for families of Memory Care residents
  • Nurse oversight 24 hours a day – an added safety measure many memory care programs don’t include

Sometimes, even though you’re active and engaged in life, you may need some additional support with daily living. You’ll enjoy a private apartment with supportive care as needed, including:

  • Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and dressing, and mealtime
  • Additional help with transfers into and out of bed and ambulation to meals and activities
  • Discreet personal care when needed

I've had a family member in the assisted living unit for over three years. Before the change in management things were great. Since the change before COVID, it seems the staff are very unhappy and there's a high turn over, which is never a good sign. I have gone there serval times to find my family members bathroom disgusting. Borderline almost a health and safety concern. During lock downs when there's a COVID out break, it does not seem the staff go into negative residents room and interact with them. They do not support with attending appointments, they just drop off residents and do not even wait for a family member to arrive at the appointment. This is a major concern for anyone with memory concerns. When asked to take my family members blood pressure when they were feeling ill, the staff member seemed annoyed by this. I called back two hours later and it still had not been done. They send residents to the hospital for minor things. They are about to increase their fees and they are already not providing top care. Not worth the money. Do not have a family member go here if there are not people available near by to pick up the slack. Local is nice, rooms are nice and the other residents are amazing.

I went to look at The Enclave of Scarborough. I found it to be extremely welcoming, very warm, friendly place, nice, clean, and very reasonable in price. The head gal there was just so receptive, so warm, and welcoming. You could tell that she enjoyed her job. They had loads of activities. They had a huge calendar posted, which was also very convenient. They had photographs of the outings. The rooms were very accommodating, as far as whether you're in a wheelchair or not. The actual apartments were very clean and had everything that a senior would want, whether you need level one care or level six care.

The Enclave of Scarborough. We liked it, but it was a little too far for us. It was twenty miles away. The staff, Jackie, was very nice, very knowledgeable. She knew what she was talking about all around. They have nice ground and everything was very neat. The dining room was exceptionally well, nice, and clean, it looked like a five-star restaurant. They have something to do every day for the residents. They looked homey.

The Enclave of Scarborough has very friendly staff. It's a typical setup for assisted living and very adequate. The rooms were nice. They were bright and clean. Their dining area is a standard dining room. The outdoor spaces are pleasant, relaxing, and nice. They had some nice patio areas and porches.

We moved my dad to The Enclave of Scarborough but he couldn't stay there because he needed a higher level of care. It's a nice community and I would highly recommend it. It's a kind of place that I wouldn't mind retiring to later on. They have lots of activities, they would have parties, a movie theater, they have a gym where they do chair yoga or Tai Chi.

It is a lovely and spacious place. They are very caring and attentive to the individuals. My brother and I both take care of my mother, so sometimes that makes it tricky with the communication part of it, but the staff has been good to at least try to let us know how my mother is doing. I didn't try the food, but I saw it. It looked good. There are fresh salads. I'm impressed that they can get salads. They try to cater to my mom because she can't see her food, so it is hard for her to use a fork, but they got her some things to eat that she can maneuver easier. The location of the place is good. It is just off the main road. My mother's room is in very good repair and very spacious. It is set up to meet her needs. They have music, cooking, and some things like that. They try to involve the residents.

I visited for my mother-in-law. It was a wonderful place. The staff was really friendly, and the rooms were of average size. The memory care unit was open and spacious. There was a fire drill, so I got to see how they handled the residents in case of emergency.
