We had placed Dad there when we couldn't care for him on our own any longer. He didn't know us any longer, and would wander off when staying with us down in FL. He was there for about a year. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Dad spoke of the "Cookouts" they had. The movies in the living areas. He loved the food there too. Dad was a WWII veteran, and they made every effort to accommodate him and help him live with the honor and dignity he deserved. He was limited in his mobility, but was interactive with others in his house. The staff loved him. He, in turn, loved them. When he passed, the staff were so very compassionate and loving. I would recommend this place.

We chose Copper Ridge because the care is superior compared to others and they take Medicaid. We know that if all of the money is gone, they won't turn us onto the streets like some of the other places. They have a bistro, which is very nice and inviting. It's a little bit dated and needs some updating. The staff seems to care for the residents. They have music and are doing more than some of the other places we've looked at. The main thing is memory care, it's kind of sad because you have these people with dementia and Alzheimer's sprinkled in with the younger people and my mom doesn't like it. We like that they're very responsive like when we told them that we're not comfortable with the area where my mom's room is at, so they will be moving her to another room next week. The food is institutional as expected, they're not using a lot of spices because they're watching the sodium levels of their elderly residents. The try to do more and have physical therapy when it's needed. It costs much more than we thought, but for the value, it's still good.

Copper Ridge was what we wanted for my mother-in-law, but it is extremely expensive. They won't even take her because you have to have at least $300,000 in the bank before they accept you. On top of it all, they also charge you for laundry. They charge you for every little thing, but it's a gorgeous, beautiful place and the people were very kind. The food smelled wonderful, and they make beautiful gourmet meals. It's a wonderful place if you are rich.

This Alzheimer/dementia facility has just what we need for our aunt, who is slipping into the moderate stage of Alzheimer's. They offer an evaluation stay to help determine the needs of each resident. They also review daily the progress and/or changes going on with each resident. The facility was clean, bright and welcoming, and we plan to move our aunt there, when the time comes. We highly recommend Copper Ridge.
