My uncle was placed in a very clean single room. He was greeted by a number of very caring staff. One young lady in particular from office staff immediately engaged in my uncles care and addressed issues we had to accommodate his needs. She sat and talked with my Uncle because she noticed an uncomfortable look as he was being dropped off at the facility. She had a Spanish name from staffing personnel named Rodriguez. She showed so much compassion before she went to the office. I want to say thank you for you kind words and dedication to making him feel welcomed. This to me stood out as a great start with just a small caring jesture.

My father is in Elkton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center because he could no longer live alone and had a stroke. They keep you abreast of how your loved one's condition is and what options you have for their care. They are very accommodating. My father is very demanding and they do a very good job of dealing with his demands. He has a feeding tube; he doesn't eat food. The activities are very nice. When I go there, the activity room is very well supplied and it always looks nice and they always decorate for whatever holiday that it is there. They had it decorated for Christmas and Valentine's Day. They have an excellent area for the patients to be outside. The cafeteria is very large and they offer on-the-spot COVID testing. It's a little bit on the high side as far as pricing is concerned.

Elkton Care and Rehabilitation Center has so far been doing a great job with my father. They're doing rehab with him every day and he seems to be doing a little better. The place seems pretty clean and nice. I've only met two nurses who seem to be very good with my dad.

I have a family member here and have visited several times. They are HORRIBLE and enormously understaffed!! Most times residents wait an hour to get an aid to help. It stinks and needs so much work. Twice in the last four days no tray of food was delivered and the food is terrible.

This place was a nightmare. Do not put your relative in here. Greatly, greatly understaffed. Patients left unattended for hours in need of basic care. Rooms smelled and were in need of repairs (toilet, lights, ceiling tiles) . It was very sad and I couldn't wait to take my relative out. This rehab is nothing other than a place to rip off Medicare. Dr. billed for a daily visit and we never saw or heard from him once.

This facility gives there patients a lot of freedom. Patients are free to roam about the building and can even play games and smoke outside. When you first arrive at the facility it is a plain, brick building surrounded by a little shrubbery. From what I remember there isn't much land. As you are going towards the entrance there are patients out front enjoying the weather. Inside is more like a hospital like atmosphere. The rooms are set up exactly like a hospital. The only difference is there are inside recreation rooms for the patients. It would be more comfortable if each patient had their own room and area for their personal belongings. Overall a good, affordable place to send family members.

Both my Mom & Dad are in this fantastic facility & I can't understand why every site practically I go 2 that it only gets 2 out of 4 or 5 stars. I wish someone could answer that question 4 me. My parents have acame a long ways since they entered the rehab & everything has went almost (I think) perfect. I would recommend Elkton Care & rehab in a heartbeat & not be fearful that your loved ones are not being properly taken care of.
