I will be moving to Asbury Methodist Village. The staff is very kind, and they seem dedicated. The place looks good and well-kept.
They have a lot of amenities that are just lovely. There's a dining room in practically every apartment building. There's a dedicated arboretum. On campus they have a wildlife preserve, walking paths, and a gardening area. They also have a wellness center with an indoor pool and other amenities, such as a gym. They have a cafe, a little store, and other things associated with the concept of wellness. They have all kinds of special interest clubs like dancing and intellectual groups. They offer educational things, and they have lectures. There's a huge theater there.

I toured Asbury Methodist Village. They have all the levels of care and you can stay there until you die. But the independent living is separate. It's a fabulous place. Their outdoors are enclosed, and you can see through them. It's like walking through a tunnel the whole way and you can see where you've gone, and you feel like you're outside even on a cold day.
They make the apartment to your recommendations. If you want different colored tiles in the living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom, you can change the color of the tile. You can put down marble if you want. You can design and put the color on the walls that you want. They charge you for it, but it's still a nice convenience.
It has tons of activities, and they have a pool. They have classes during the week and on weekends. You can have your family come eat with you. You pay a monthly fee for your meals. They have bingo and woodworking. They also have a very nice library with very nice chairs for you to sit on and read if you want, and you can also sign a book out.
The outdoors is beautiful and professionally maintained. The bushes are flowering. The money that you give them as a down payment goes into the building structure and the yard keep. The food is excellent, too. They just try their hardest to get you to come to live there.

We went to Asbury Methodist Village. From what we saw, there were a lot of opportunities to have a different kind of living atmosphere from an apartment where you get continuous care, all the way to an independent home where you're independent living. They had lots of options. They probably would have been our first choice if they were closer to our son. They had plenty of amenities. They had pools, and they had exercise equipment. They had a lot of opportunities to do things. They had doctors on staff, they offered meals, and they offered lawn care if you were in an independent home. They had a lot of activities as far as what the residents can do. They have very friendly staff and they're very attentive to your needs.

I have been a resident for 7 years and the experience has been great. Services have been great, including needs of the Villa (town house) where I reside. Easy to make friends, as most residents are very friendly! Much to do on this campus. You can never be lost for what to occupy your time, or do nothing if you desire!
All of the associates are most helpful and willing to help you in any way!
I have enjoyed learning a new trade as a TV camera man! And the opportunity to see more of my fellow residents on TV!
Have had a garden plot, with some success in growing tomatoes and peppers.

Asbury provides my wife and me with security without the cares of home ownership. We are completing our seventh year in a Villa. During this time of Covid we especially prize AMV's 134-acre campus. It a certified arboretum with open space and two ponds. Deer, birds, squirrels, and other wildlife abound. We love being able to walk freely around this campus with little risk of infection. My wife tends flowers in front of our Villa and cultivates vegetables in a garden plot across Russell Avenue. She is faithful to her yoga classes, while I routinely swim laps in Asbury's 60-foot indoor pool. Both of us take part in small-group social activities, many of them outdoors, with our Villa neighbors. Asbury has proved to be a comfortable haven for us.

My mother-in-law is at Asbury Methodist Village. She has been there for 10 years now. She loves it; however, it is so far away that we have to travel more times a year to see her and it just gets more difficult as she gets older. It is wonderful. I would move there in a heartbeat. It is several different apartment buildings for independent then they have one big building for assisted living and another building that is the nursing home. It is a large community but it is wonderful. I'm glad she's there because they're wonderful. She got a visiting nurse that comes in once a week and she can just call for assistance if she needs it.
Food is very good food. Every floor has a club or a group and they do floor activities. My mother-in-law is in the painting club and the jewelry club. There are tons of clubs because it is such a huge community. You're bound to find people that have something in common. She also has a bunch of friends there that are also Japanese, so they can do Japanese activities. They have gardening, there is a bus service that takes you around. They also have a pool and a gym. Her doctor is in the complex and the clinic is right down the street. It is just amazing. It is a beautiful park-like setting; however, it is such a big place that sometimes it is hard to get a hold of people.

My wife and I moved to Asbury 5 years ago and have nothing but great things to say about our community. Right now, COVID-19 has hit the country and the world. We feel very safe and very cared for here. There is a great TV studio and they recorded all our exercise classes so we can do our exercises in our homes. They are also showing movies 5 times a week. We have a wonderful 134-acre campus that has walking trails, a pollinator garden, a wildlife preserve, and we got our National Arboretum status. Normally, there are so many things going on that it's difficult to choose. We have Osher classes here, Keese School, many different clubs, a TV studio, abundant exercise classes daily including yoga and water classes, and many things to volunteer for. We are loving our retirement at AMV!

Asbury Methodist Village was a very nice and elegant place. They really care about the residents. Everything is geared to making the people as comfortable and happy as possible. I was really impressed. The dining area was lovely. They had a full complement of activities and treated us very well during the visit.

Asbury Methodist Village had a very large open space around the buildings. They served very good food, and the staff was very pleasant. They had a gym, a swimming pool, lots of different general rooms for everyone to use, and walking trails.

Asbury is very nice with a large campus and different types of facilities for different needs. I have a 1,500 sq. ft. apartment with two bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. It’s a continuing care community, so you got a little bit of everything as one progresses in their age and inability to survive. They have a healthcare center and housing for those that need a little more help, and independent living. They have a pool, 130 acres of grounds, two ponds, a lot of walking trails, chapel, and garage space for my car under the building.

I am currently at Asbury Methodist Village. For me it's a perfect place. The food has been very good. We pay a lot of money, and the place is first class. We have a big auditorium where we have movies four times a week. We have transportation that takes us to our doctors. Overall, everything is fine. We have everything anybody could ever want.
