I toured Silverado Frederick. The residents were active, and the place was very clean. It was brand new. The staff was really good and very friendly. What's good about that place was that all of their employees went to class for dementia, even the laundry people. They had nice rooms. They were the most expensive but the nicest out of all the 3 places I toured. The food looked really good, but I did not try it. There were a couple of women playing some games, and a guy was doing a puzzle. They had a beauty shop, and a spa, and some of the residents were sitting in chairs doing exercises.

My father is going into Silverado Frederick memory care. The staff and the facilities are both excellent. The rooms are spacious. They have lots of light, and there's a huge private bathroom in each one. It's a really nice room. It's a brand-new facility. They just opened in September, so it's not even fully occupied yet. I have not tried their food, but everything I've seen looked and smelled wonderful. The common areas were beautiful, clean, just very calm, and inviting. They have organized activities and outings for the residents. They have people that come in like musicians and things like that. Everybody from the administrative to the clinical staffing is very professional, warm, and caring.
