This is the only place that I didn't like from all the places we've toured. It's far from where we live. It's not that I wound not recommend the place, but it's not the place what we needed for sister-in-law. The rooms were definitely big, but those are shared rooms and she was not interested in shared rooms. They look more like a hospital facility. The staff that toured us was very nice. She tried to help us out and gave us pointers. They just need to update a lot.

Upon arrival to this facility there were two levels each with a different level of care. The level I was most familiar with would be the top level where the patients who were just elderly and had problems getting around were located they still had all there mental capacity in this location. There was a cat that roamed through this level and was very friendly and provided comfort for much of the residence. While at the facility there seemed to be a very lax way of checking in and visiting we were never told to leave and never had to sign in. We just entered the building. The facility seemed to be very clean and there were no patients wondering the building. The size of the facility was small enough that only a few staff were needed to tend to the care of the patients. The staff were pleasant and interacted well with the patients. The meals seemed to be adequate with no complaints from either of the residents I was visiting. They provided physical therapy and other needed therapies to the patients on a daily basis. The only issue I had with the facility was that my grandmother- in-law had a roomate who died and her body was left there for most of the afternoon. It was very upsetting to my grandmother-in-law who was very offended as I would have been and very upset. We did notify the staff on several times during that day and subsequently removed my grandmother-in-law from the room by ourselves until the body was removed. The staff needed to be more understanding of the effect this has on anyone not just the elderly.
