Sterling Care in Rockville, MD needs to be shut down. The center admn., Aaron S. does not return calls and or emails and is only concerned about the residents Social Security benefits and all insurance companies payments. Residents lay in their feces and urine for hours due to the lack of nursing staff. The nursing staff and GNA's are often asleep in the lounge area. Medications are left out unattended. The list goes on. Avoid this center as it could cost your family member their organ and or their life!!

Extremely disappointed family
The care my mother received was awful. Initially, she lived at home and walked, showered, and dressed herself. She was discharged from there, unable to sit without support, get up, stand, walk, or dress herself and now, as a result, has to be admitted to a nursing home. They used all but ten days of her Medicare insurance days, so now no facility will accept her for rehabilitation. In addition to catching Covid in there with other patients, she had gotten a bedsore. The food was so bad she lost a lot of weight, and we had to take turns bringing her meals. None of her trays had fresh fruit, juice, vegetables, or milk. She only received tea with every meal, coffee in the mornings, and water. She was in her wheelchair when we picked her up and dehydrated. Furthermore, we were lied to regarding her progress in rehabilitation. We were informed she was walking up to 50 feet. Patients were ignored when they called for hours at a time (witnessed). Patients that were terminally ill were also treated in this manner. We witnessed a frail lady fall on our way out, and we had to yell and run to get assistance. The nurse I told took her time to check the patient and even stopped to look in the food cart before she checked the patient. It was horrible in every way. Do not ever send your loved ones there, the care my mother received was awful.

My mother was a resident and received poor treatment there. Often neglected, drugged unnecessarily and kept bound to bed or chair. Staff was duplicitous.

Rockville Nursing Home's caregivers and staff are treated well by the organization, so they have a lot of longevity with an average employment of 10 years, which is unusual for a nursing home. They're very cheerful, extremely accommodating, and personable. It's a delight. The rooms are adequate and comfortable but need to be upgraded with a coat of paint and some pictures. Everybody has TVs and some rooms have showers and baths; they try to accommodate the residents. People who are there for the long term get to decorate their room. It's an older facility but extremely well run and devoid of smells. The staff is exemplary. Management is hands-on, knows everybody, very attentive, very accommodating, and very encouraging.

The experience at Rockville was excellent. The staff was phenomenal and extremely good. The meals were good. All of the residents interact, very caring, and clean.

I visited Rockville Nursing Home for my mom. The staff and the people seemed very engaged. They have a full array of activities that go on all day long as well as having occupational and physical therapy there onsite. However, they have smaller rooms.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Patients were left in the halls begging for attention. Neglected and sad. We were crying on the way out.

My visit with Rockville Nursing Home was nothing but satisfactory from start to finish. It was a very clean and welcoming place. They were very informative. I was pleased from the get-go. We had my mother-in-law there for 48 hours before she was placed into the hospital and subsequently died. So, I was able to see her room and her meals. Everything was quite satisfactory.

At Rockville Nursing Home, the staff was excellent. They were informative, and they understood what we needed. They were very good. The dining room was set up for a different function at that time, so we really didn't see it. The residents were very secure. At that time, most of them were watching a special show on television, and they were getting ready for some event.

Neglectful, wrong meds, treated my mom horribly, no follow up. Was there for rehab and that was the only thing that was good. Was out in 2 weeks by our choice . Don't put your loved one here!!

The nurses and staff were very friendly. They treated everyone as a person and not as a name on a clip board. The facilities were very clean and organized. There were activities all day for seniors to take part in. The nursing home was next to a park were senior could walk or sit on a bench. There was a community room for everyone to interact with one another. The food was good and served three meals a day. The rooms were large and everyone shared a room with one other person. They allowed seniors to hang photos on the wall. There were plenty of nurses available to help everyone. The senior home was affordable and easy to work with. On the holidays the senior home would decorate the hallways and the community room. They celebrated everyone's birthdays with cake and cards. It was a good place to put a loved one.
