I toured Magothy Gardens Assisted Living. The rooms were very small. They were big enough for a twin bed, a dresser, and a nightstand, and that was it. I didn't see where the bathrooms were. It was like a house that was gutted and then a whole bunch of bedrooms put in. One side of the house was bedrooms, and then it was a central area with a dining area. To the right, as you walk in was the kitchen, and to the left was the TV area. There were only two residents that I saw: One was being fed and the other one looked like a Parkinson's patient, but he was mobile, and he was okay. They have a TV room, and that's it. They didn't have any amenities. They have a wraparound porch, but they're also on a busy street. If somebody got out and was on the porch, they could wander off in the street pretty easily, and that was kind of worrisome a little bit. It seemed dingy and not welcoming. There were two bedrooms, which could be for two people, and then the rest of them were one-bedrooms, but they were very, very small. The staff seemed alright, but they didn't know why I was there.
