My uncle was in Forestville Healthcare Center. The physical therapy staff was quite knowledgeable and able to get my uncle back up and walking fairly rapidly. They're really good. He had a standard double room, that's kind of really plain, and it's fair sized, but the showers weren't clean at all. During the COVID lockdown, there were certain protocols by the state that if there was COVID on the wing, to keep certain doors closed, but they would always have them open. My uncle says one night a week it seemed like there was somebody who would try to come in the rooms and go through people's personal belongings. Some of the nurses or night staff weren't either very friendly or caring, kind of half did. There was one really great nurse, Lisa. She was really nice. She's one person my uncle says kind of made his stay bearable and people really loved her a lot. You could tell she was a caring person. The food was really horrible. By time you get it, it was cold and lumpy, and somewhat inedible, and that was the worst part. Most patients have had their families bringing them food or they were ordering like take out. It's pretty much where you'd go if you absolutely had no other healthcare options. The bathrooms were really smelly and the whole place smelled really bad. If you walked in, it was pretty dark. I wouldn't want to go there. The value for the money was midrange. I don't think it was super expensive, but his insurance paid for it. The physical therapy staff was awesome.

My brother is in Forestville Healthcare Center. I have mixed reviews about them. I feel like it could be better aesthetically, first of all, and just a little more attentive to the patients. There's nothing lively about the room. There are no pictures. We bring pictures of the family, but the walls are just dull. There's nothing to stimulate the senses. They have a community room. They had a room that family could go and gather and celebrate my brother's birthday, and that was nice.
