My sister is at Sippican Health Care Center. She has rehab and medical care. It's a wonderful facility. It's very, very good, very clean, well-organized, and very caring. The care is very good. What I can't get over is how immaculate it is, it is so clean. The food is very good. I haven't tried it, but my sister enjoys it very much. It's very nutritional, healthy, and well-made. They're very, very good. The staff is very caring, helpful, and attentive. I'm not sure exactly what they charge, but whatever it is, I'm sure it's well worth it because it's a beautiful place.

As much as I tire of the daily things that are constantly blamed on staff shortages ( bill doesn't reflect reduced services) I have to say that the working staff, the people on the front lines, especially the receptionists are the friendliest, nicest people I have ever encountered in a company. Keep up the awesome work !

Good luck getting any updates. Particularly in writing. I get 0 info on outside appointments which I have requested several times. I am my friends health care proxy and her comprehension skills are diminishing. She has been on lockdown since March. She goes to outside appointments but can't go to her empty home. I get no medical info. I should be with her on some of those appts.Last month she left Sippican by Marion ambulance. I only am aware because the bill came to my house. She has gone to dialysis shoeless and with bloody and or dirty clothing. There is an endless stream of people going in and out but, not family. That is concerning. 18 people have died despite the lockdown. Numbers of actual cases seem to vary from report to report.

I didn't care for Sippican Health Care Center. It was old, not very welcoming, and the food was terrible. I would not recommend this one at all.

My grandmother has been at Sippican for a few months. She used to have visiting nurses come to her home, but as of late her health has been failing and she's been slipping/falling more often now. She's at Sippican mainly because she has trouble walking and her legs swell up. I've found the staff very warm and welcoming whenever I call and visit. Even though I always forget the name of the ward my grandmother's in, they're happy to look it up and direct my call. My grandmother's also hard of hearing, so often times when she can't hear the phone ring, they'll be sure to pick it up for her and let her know that her granddaughter's calling. Another thing I've found very helpful is that they're understanding that she's familiar with certain nurses and would prefer to have her care given to her by them, and them only. She gets uneasy with newer nurses around. Sippican is happy to accomodate for her, and that makes me feel better about what goes on at the facility when I'm not around to actually witness it.
