New England homes for the deaf is a facility located in Danvers, MA, an area with an above average safety rating. I do not work for this facility but do visit it a couple of times a year to perform assessments. The building is well secured and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns. This facility does provide nursing care to deaf residents with Alzheimer's. Resident rooms are spacious and well maintained. Common areas also look neat. Nurses and other staff are available 24 hours. Most staff members are well trained in sign language, which makes it easier to interact with deaf residents. Balanced meals are served three times a day. New England feels homey because it's a small community and staff interacts freely with residents. New England is located 10 minutes from Massachusetts general hospital-Danvers and Northshore medical center. I would recommend New England homes to deaf seniors.
