I have visited a few facilities & this one is nicer than most. There are over 1,000 apartments spread over a large wooded & landscaped campus with two clubhouses & lots of amenities. It's 6 miles from charming Hingham Center & waterfront which is a plus for me. It is not a classic CCRC - the entry fee & monthly 'rent' is for independent living only and assisted living/memory care is fee-for-service at market rate. That brings those fees down but increases risk for those without long term care insurance or the funds to cover nursing home care out of pocket. Some things which are rolled into the monthly fee at other places, like housekeeping, are extra here. But the costs are reasonable & I like that I'm not paying for services I don't use. It's high on my list.

We toured Linden Ponds. It was a very nice place. They have a lot of things to do there, and but it just wasn't for us. The room we looked at was about $4000 a month. It was nice, but it was just plain and there's nothing luxurious in there. They offer one meal a day.

Linden Ponds Senior Living Community had all the activities I wanted, it had the apartment type that I wanted, and there were a lot of things that I had on my list that they do there. I visited it about two weeks ago and saw their independent living. I have chosen it for myself because it seems to have all the things that I was looking for. The staff was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I only had one meal there, but I know what I had was very good. The landscaping is beautiful. They are constantly keeping it up and it's very clean. The place is close to highways, its close to shopping and stores, and it's in a very nice town.

We live at Linden Ponds. It's A+. There isn't anything that isn't good. They have movies, dances, book clubs, all kinds of clubs, and trips. Anything you want is here. I have a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment and a patio that looks out on the woods. It's very spacious, and it's got big closets, a washer and dryer, and a kitchen. The food is awesome. You pay for one meal a day and the rest you can make on your own or eat in one of the restaurants. The staff is very friendly. It's like a big family. They have a gym, a pool, and other areas for dancing, yoga, and balance classes.

Linden Ponds was very expensive. It was a nice facility and is a huge development. Everybody seemed very nice. They have doctors right in the building there, and they have a memory care unit that's separate from everything. The food is really good. It's like a big hotel and all the buildings are interconnected so you don't have to go outdoors. They have shuttle buses that will take you shopping. They have a lot of nice amenities. They were ten- or eleven-years-old, but they looked brand new, so that means they're well-kept and maintained. The staff is very helpful, as well as the people in the restaurant. It was very professional.

I live in Linden Ponds. It's a wonderful place for a person my age, and there's lots to do. You can go to the theaters in Boston and Cambridge. They have all kinds of card games, movies, shows, and entertainment. I have lots of friends here, people who care, and it's just terrific. The food is like eating in a restaurant every night.

Linden Ponds was very good; they're very helpful. It was a beautiful facility. The apartments were beautiful because they completely re-do the apartment when it becomes available. The dining room was very nice. They have an indoor swimming pool, water classes, and an indoor gym. They have a lot of activities. The facility was very clean, and it seemed to be put-together and organized. The staff was very nice. They're very good.

Linden Ponds was very nice. I was quite impressed. That was a very nice visit there. I was pleased with what I saw. I give them the highest rating for what they have to offer for those people who can do that and have them afford that. It was very nice.

The buildings were all sparkling clean and nicely appointed. The grounds were well taken care of. All the staff members we encountered were friendly and pleasant, and they greeted the residents by name. I was impressed with the amenities and activities available, everything from on-site hairdressing and medical appointments to gardening clubs and in-house concerts. We visited several apartment layouts; the larger ones were quite roomy but the smaller apartments seemed a bit cramped for two people. We ate in the dining room and I was impressed both by the varied (and delicious) menu and by the wait staff's encouragement to make substitutions or order something not on the menu if we desired. It was more like eating at a high-end restaurant than an institution. The food was excellent and the portion size was reasonable. The waitstaff also seemed to be familiar with the residents' preferences and I overheard them suggest a particular dish to a resident on several occasions as if they were familiar with that person's likes and dislikes. On the whole, I found the facility to be very pleasant and livable, and the staff friendly and accommodating.
