Horrible staff. Extremely unprofessional. Place was newly renovated, but only the common areas. The bedrooms and bathrooms are old and dank. Extremely disappointed in this place. Especially with the staff.

My mom was here for about 1 1/2 years with dementia. She was otherwise healthy. I saw her every weekend and felt confident she was being taken care of. Then the virus came. They told me they would protect her. That I couldn't see her. I didn't see her the last 6 weeks of her life. I didn't find out she had the virus until the day before she died. She was in a coma at that point. My mom thinks I abandoned her. I never received even a condolence letter. Just a bill for hey final rent.

Overall poor personal care. If your loved one is somewhat self sufficient they are forgotten. Some nursing staff are helpful and compassionate others not so much. Meals (unless kosher) are inadequate. Communication between Nursing, physician and family is often forgotten as is shift reports in regard to patient or family request. Visiting weekly, this is only my opinion and observation. Heartbreaking!!!!

My Mother was here! In 2012 for 2 weeks for rehab physical therapy . I was impressed with all aspects of the facility and staff. The property was very clean . The staff was very attentive , caring and well trained . Therapists did a fantastic job in a short period of time . The food was excellent very fresh many choices not what you expect from an insatutional facity. I would give it a 5 star rating. She was 85 years old at the time . She fell and broke her hip a month ago i.n 2017 and when it came time for her to go to rehab I was thankful she was able to get a bed here . Some things have changed in 5 years. The staff for the most part is still very good . There was an issue with one of the nurses aides . I discussed the problem with the Nurse supervisor I had about 5 issues and the issues were rectified iimmediately to my satisfaction. The one big difference today compared to 2012 is the food . The choices have been lifted to 2 choices per meal . Some of the quality in food is still there but it seems like the second choice for lunch a d dinner is where my disdapointment comes from. Over all I still feel this is the best facilityfrom the North Shore to Boston. The most importamt osdue ehich is cate given is still a 5 star rating I am still very Thankful she was there again.

The intake officer was OK, but not as welcoming as the others. She showed me around, and they are renovating at the moment, so it was all upside down and turned around. When I was on the floor for the dementia unit, it was a narrow hallway, and it was an old-fashioned layout. The dining area seemed nice; there was a lot of light. I did not get to speak to any of the staff, but I did find that they had that stench again. I know they are renovating, but it is obviously a long process. I probably would not have put my mom there, but she called me later during the day, and she said "I am sorry; we don't have a room anyway." The rooms were just ordinary -- nothing special and like a hospital room really where the beds would be side by side with a space in the middle and a curtain.

We went to the Chelsea Jewsih nursing home a few years ago, to see if we could place my grand, other there for a few months since we werent able to take care of her at home at the time. The home was beautiful! It was clean and it didnt smell like a hospital, which was what I was expecting. It was eey elcoming and inviting. The staff were great, they rated my grandmother very nicely. The cost was covered by Medicare, so we didn't have to pay for her to be there, the home gave her a short trial to see if she lik it. When we went to see my grandmother a few days later, she wouldn't stop talking about all the friends treat she made! She loved it there,
