About This Community

Orchard Cove is a warm, inclusive, and award-winning senior living community in Canton, Massachusetts. Created by Hebrew SeniorLife, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a leading nonprofit senior care and aging research organization, Orchard Cove is known for its resident-driven culture. This is exemplified both in the way we empower seniors to reach their own unique goals and in the way the community as a whole is continually shaped by those who live here.

Our apartments are nestled in a beautiful, 38-acre pondside campus close to roads leading to Boston, the southwestern suburbs, and the South Shore. Residents enjoy an active lifestyle that affords them the opportunity to pursue their interests and continue to learn and grow. With a range of residential choices – from independent living to enhanced living to skilled nursing – and the peace of mind of our all-inclusive pricing and LifeCare options, Orchard Cove offers a continuum of care that serves seniors as their needs evolve over time.

In addition to a vibrant social atmosphere, residents take advantage of our intellectually stimulating programs, dozens of clubs and committees, four dining venues, a research-based fitness program, and onsite Harvard Medical School-affiliated medical services. With staff that often feel like family, our community is dedicated to helping each resident live their best possible life – at every stage of their life.

I am a resident of Orchard Cove. I chose the place because of the surroundings, facilities, activities as well as friendly residents and staff. I wanted to be in a place that should my health needs change, I can move to enhanced living or skilled nursing. I have not been disappointed in my decision. Anyone considering a continuing care retirement community should seriously consider Orchard Cove.

Our experience with Orchard Cove has been warm, personal, and responsive from the first contact to the present - 6 months after my sister's entry to the community. It is a true community. The culture of Orchard Cove is kind and friendly. All residents are treated with great respect and warmth. Everyone is known by name and the dinners introducing new residents provide a nice 'ice-breaker.' My sister has developed a lovely group of friends. She enjoys the concerts and lectures. The food is excellent. The surroundings are lovely, inside and out. The facility is beautifully appointed with lots of art work displayed. Galleries of work by the residents are very impressive as well. The library is well-stocked and has varying displays. There are many spots for private conversation and social gatherings of various sizes. Outside, the secluded setting abutting the pond is beautiful with walking trails and multiple places for sitting outdoors. My family couldn't be happier with our sister's new home. The fact that she was able to transfer her primary medical care to the on-site doctor is an added bonus. She also enjoys massage and acupuncture as well as regular exercise opportunities. When I'm done caring for my own home it's certainly a place I'd enjoy living!

My friend is at Orchard Cove. It is great. The rooms are elegant. They're suites actually. My friend lives alone. She has a large living/dining room, a nice size bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. I had lunch with her, and the people working in the dining room were extremely pleasant. They like her, and she likes them. They're very gracious and polite. This is a high-end upscale place, and the food is exceptional too. I don't know their activities, but I do know that they keep them very busy. They have a gorgeous library, too.

I liked Orchard Cove the best because of the quality of its facilities and the nature of the residents’ population. Lots of facilities -- gym, physical therapy, swimming pool, activities, lectures, concerts, multiple dining rooms; very nice.

Orchard Cove had a full range of services from independent living to assisted living to a nursing home. I thought it was an extremely warm community with more support services than any other else, and the fact that it was a non-profit helped. My mom is also about to have a beautiful apartment in a beautiful location, and we felt very comfortable with the people there. This was the best place we saw. It is surrounded by pine groves and a pond, so it is a very pretty spot.
