About This Community

It is the mission of Belmont Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to be a community leader in providing quality-driven post-acute and long-term care services.

We are committed to providing a continuum of care in an environment that promotes optimal functional ability, interdisciplinary care, and the integration and provision of community resources and education. It is our intent to provide these services without regard to sex, race, creed, national origin, age, disability, or payer class.

We promote a challenging, dynamic, and professional work environment through on-going staff education and Continuous Quality Improvement programs, which meet the needs of an ever-changing health care population.

Belmont Manor fulfills its mission by:

Providing inpatient medical, nursing and rehabilitative care for those individuals who are unable to live in an alternative community setting, but who do not need the diagnostic or surgical services normally provided by acute care hospitals.

Improving the quality of life for residents by assisting them in achieving their maximum level of independence. This is accomplished through supporting resident’s psychological and social needs, maintaining resident self-respect, providing a home environment and respecting resident needs, Bill of Rights and privacy. Providing rehabilitation and health maintenance to each resident as deemed appropriate by the interdisciplinary health team: nursing, physical therapy, attending physician, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation, dietary and social services.

Maintaining our commitment to an on-going Continuous Quality Improvement program that encourages a re-evaluation of the environment and the operating systems and procedures to enhance the quality of life for the residents.

Belmont Manor provides both long and short term care to residents with a variety of needs. We also have a Special Care Dementia Unit dedicated to care for residents with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.

Thanks to the 2nd floor team and entire Belmont Manor team for caring for Mom. My family all felt she was clearly "in good hands" every step of the way. Over her 13 years in senior type care we've had the opportunity to collaborate on her care on 8 occasions at 3 other different rehabs/SNFs. Our experience at Belmont was very positive, you are a strong leader among that group. Rooms were good, staff exemplary!

Knowing the COVID challenges all facilities, my experience with a loved one was very mixed. Some staff such as Executive Director, Admissions Director and Activities Director were responsive when emailed. There didn't seem to be enough nursing coverage to be responsive and sometimes calls weren't answered. Care seemed minimal. Valuables were taken twice from the room (and compensation was offered) but for example a wedding ring can't be valued enough. There was no personalization of his room (hanging photos, for ex) even though asked a number of times until hospice worker did. Calls to get medical updates were sometimes challenging to get information. Because of COVID there were limited visits. After my loved one passed away, I was given the clothes and items from his room which included many items from other residents!!! which I then returned. After having loved one in other facilities, I see that some staff could be much more welcoming and responsive.

A close friend spent several months here at the end of her life. The care provided was exceptional. I have experience of several comparable facilities in the area, and this was by several orders of magnitude the best. Physically, it is a very nice building with a lovely terrace and spacious rooms. But even more important, the staff -- nurses, nutritionist, therapists, and aides -- were wonderful: kind, caring, and competent, and the kitchen staff turned handsprings to accommodate the friend's demanding dietary requirements. One episode encapsulates the staff’s willingness to go the extra mile. A few days before my friend's death, when she was only semi-conscious, two of the male aides heard her repeat the word “flowers.” Assuming that this was a plea for (more) flowers, they conferred and decided that one of them would run to the Star Market and buy some, presumably out of their own pockets. Overhearing the conversation, I managed to convince them that, since her room already resembled a small florist’s shop, the repetition of the word “flowers” probably had a different meaning. But their impulse to honor what they thought was her request spoke of a generosity of spirit that was as touching as it must be rare.

Words can't describe the gratitude I feel to Belmont Manor for taking such exquisite care of my husband. The owners were always on site and their open office doors made me feel welcomed. When I shared a concern they listened and responded. The CNA's who cared for him kept him clean, groomed, and well dressed, and they treated him with tenderness and respect. The same kindness was evidenced by the warmth and affection shown to him by housekeepers, laundry workers, and kitchen and maintenance staff. I found the administrators friendly and the nursing care was attentive and knowledgeable. When he was dying their sensitivity provided him with a peaceful and painless death and created a calm and beautiful experience for our son and me. The facility is bright and clean and the rooms are pleasant, but the most important thing to me was the loving care my husband received at the end of his life.

Belmont Manor was very good, and it had a good reputation. They had a sort of reception. I went to visit someone, and they had quite a nice spread. I was impressed by it. I know a person that has her mother there, and she’s very happy with her mother there.

My husband moved into Belmont Manor. They're more than adequate, attractive, and provide very good care. They're very expensive, though. There are activities in which he participates. On the whole, I would say it's satisfactory. I'm not there all day long, but whenever I am there, they appear to be doing their job and doing it rather well.

My mother has been a patient at Belmont Manor for several years. During her stay here, she has received nothing but excellent care from professional and caring staff. I see the same caregivers providing care to my mother that helps us to feel confident that the staff really knows her. I often see staff happy and working together doing a very challenging job. I would highly recommend Belmont Manor to anyone looking for nursing care for a loved one.

My grandmother spent about five years at the Belmont Manor while she lived out the rest of her life when caring for her became to much for our family. The staff at the facility was great, from nurses to nutrition and counselling for not only my grandmother but for my family. Everything she needed was available in this facility , there was a hair salon, always activites and bus trips , a dentist ,church and many other things that made the stay there enjoyable. Although gram didn't remember many of the trips or activities seeing the pictures of her having fun and hearing the nurses tell us stories made us feel so much better about her not being at home. In the Alzheimer unit they had there own dining area and special care to keep them safe, they also had a function hall that you could use to celebrate birthday and other events. The staff made everything the best they could even through her last days, even after her death the staff kept in touch and many came to her services.

This facility is not in the best section of Belmont, which is a fairly wealthy town. But even though the facility is not as attractive as many others in the area, the quality of care is very good. The staff does a good job trying to meet residents' needs. And the floors are matched to the residents' care needs. The people I was visiting had problems after a stroke or heart attack"”and the staff seemed knowledgeable about taking care of them. The nurses seem particularly helpful; there is never a long wait after they are called for help. Many of the rooms have two or three residents, so there is a lack of privacy and more the feeling of a hospital than a home. The food is a little above average, but not great. Because of the convenient locale, this facility may be best for Belmont residents or those who have relatives nearby. There is no long wait for admission, which is often a necessity for many people. But a drawback is that management is often pushy to get more residents in there who might not necessarily be a good fit; it feels as if they are most concerned about making money.
