The help at Cornerstone at Milford was wonderful. They kid around with the residents and they took good care of my husband. They had wonderful activities with people coming in and singing. They played old-fashioned movies and he got a kick out of that when they played those old-fashioned slapstick movies. He also enjoyed the music down there. They had art classes to go to and ice cream socials. There was always something going on. It was very nice. The place was very clean. I never saw anything out of place and I had no problems with the staff. They had a beautiful outside terrace where the residents could go out in the springtime/in the summertime and enjoy themselves. They never skimped on the food at all. If my husband needed more, they gave him all. I was happy about the value for the money.

I've toured Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living. I like their proximity to all the medical care and the hospital, for one thing, and that's kinda what gave them an edge over the other places. They have plenty of activities for everybody, and they have a memory care diet, which will be beneficial to my mother. Then they have all the usual nurses and everything that we require, just like the other place we saw, but they're a little bit closer to the medical facilities. And honestly, the decision between the two places is based on the availability of a one-bedroom. We have met the director of sales, Jared, and he is just a quality person, so helpful and caring. And he really gave us a good comfort level. They're really a top notch facility. It's absolutely beautifully appointed, it's extremely clean, and it's comfortable.

Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living was very nice, but the hallways were very long. It was excellent, but it was more expensive than the other place. Everything looked very, very nice. However, they had a community fee of $4500. The staff who toured me was very good. The apartments were clean and neat. They were a little smaller though. The cafeteria looked nice. It was neat and clean, but I did not try the food. They took us through the activity rooms and different gathering places, but nothing was going on at that time. The staff were very nice as well.

I was at Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living. I like the food. They gave me three meals a day, and it was excellent food. They're gourmet cooking. But my apartment was too small. I had a studio apartment, and the living room and bedroom were all in one room. There was no stove, and there was a very small refrigerator, you couldn't keep anything in. The food was really good though. What's probably the outstanding thing about them was the food. It was very, very good. It is twice as expensive as it needs to be, and that's its main drawback of it. It's one of the most expensive facilities in the area. The only thing about the place was that the apartments were too small. I was in assisted living when I was there, and they did everything for you. They made your bed, and they brought your medication and everything. I was there for a year. The staff was all very good. We had a new movie every night, and they had some shopping trips, but I didn't go on any of them because I'm content and I have a whole collection of my own movies. They had some very nice lounge areas, but the apartments themselves were way too small.

My mom was in Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living & Compass Memory Support. It's a wonderful place. They have a lot of activities. The staff is great, the place is clean, and it's really nice. They have a lot of entertainment. They have musicians come in, all kinds of singers, arts and crafts, and they go on little trips. The facility is beautiful, well kept and well lit. They have their own chef.

Cornerstone was wonderful, they took us to all the different rooms, and they answered every question possible. It was a beautiful facility, and everyone that was there seemed to love it. We had lunch there, and the food was excellent. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it.

The patient actually stayed at Cornerstone Assisted Living for a period of time before she went into the nursing home. It was a very good facility; however, assisted living facilities cannot give you 24-hour care. The facility was very nice and very modern, and she had a lot more privacy. However, that was not a good situation for her because she needed 24-hour supervision.

Cornerstone at Milford was about three years old, so it was still relatively new. The rooms in the memory care unit were all laid out around a central courtyard. I thought it was really good. It looked like the people were engaged. The staff was very caring.

Cornerstone at Milford is a very nice place especially for someone who has full mobility. They don't have the staff to do any real nursing, but they do have someone like a doctor's aide who comes in. There is nobody right there if there was a need. They'll just send somebody out if they have a need for medical attention. The room is fine and has its own kitchenette. The atmosphere is very congenial. There are plenty of people, and they try to get everybody included to get them involved with activities with other folks. There is quilting, and there are games where they ask questions like trivia stuff. Their intent is to enrich the lives of the people there. But of course the people have got to be willing to get involved. I have tried the food, and I think it is terrific.

We got mom in Cornerstone. They serve quality food. All the staff has been very good and very accommodating with all my mother’s needs, so I’m happy with them. They play Scrabble; they do cooking and arts and crafts. They have church services; they make trips. Some person came in with their dogs, and when they came in, they did tricks. I would recommend it.
