The Village at Willow Crossings was very nice. It's a little bit more assisted living and not as much as a memory care unit. It wasn't bright and cheery. The place was very well kept up. It just didn't seem like a place that had enough for Alzheimer's patients like someplace for them to use their minds. The staff were great. They showed everything. They were late. They were not on time, but not that late. The rooms were a little on the dark side. They were well set up for somebody who needed help. The windows weren't large enough and weren't airy enough, but it was nicely laid out. The rooms were good. They had a bedroom, they had a separate room for entertaining, and they had a bathroom. Same as all of them, it just wasn't large at all. It's on the small side. I didn't see anyone doing any activities. They were sitting. There was one group out there and that was it. The dining area was small. Everything was well done. It just wasn't what I was looking for.

Feels Like Home - At All Levels of Care

My father had a beautiful apartment in the Assisted Living area before moving to the Memory Care Unit. His room there is nice as well. The staff is incredible, very caring and committed. There are so many activities from brain exercises to the dull men's coffee group and happy hour in the pub! There are many offsite activities as well like shopping and dining out. In terms of amenities, my father enjoyed playing pool in the common area! Others enjoy the computers and clubhouse and Beauty Salon. Most of all he loved the fact that they let him eat chocolate ice cream whenever he wanted it (breakfast, lunch, dinner). And he did that in the Memory Care Unit for as long as he had an appetite.
