About This Community
Currently under construction, Bridges® by EPOCH at Pembroke will be a safe haven for area seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. As in our sister communities, our compassionate, dementia-trained associates, state-of-the-art design and specialized Bridges® programming will come together to add more meaning and joy to our residents’ daily lives while supporting their independence with dignity and respect.
Our warm, welcoming community will comprise small, self-contained households, each staffed by its own team of highly trained professionals who understand the unique challenges of caring for people with memory loss and – just as importantly – how to handle them with patience and kindness. Bridges® by EPOCH households have fewer than 20 private or companion memory care suites, creating an intimate, familiar living space that builds strong bonds and trusting relationships between residents and associates.

My mom is a resident of Bridges by EPOCH at Pembroke and shes doing fine there. I chose it mainly because its close to my home and the individual apartments are very nice. I visited three out four branches with locked down apartment areas, and there are about 10-14 apartments for each branch. Its very nice. They always have music and wonderful activities. Its very homey for my mom and they take good care of her. Its a fairly new community so the rooms and everything is fairly nice, new, and clean. The food doesnt look that great, but its not horrible, and my mom says its OK. The dining area is very nice with big windows, and you can look outside into the courtyard. The area where they serve food from looks like a big square, which is nice. Its a memory assisted area so theres no pool, but they do different excursions like going to Boston or different places. They also have activities. They watch opening game days with popcorn in the community room and they really keep the residents involved. The nurses are good. Some of the aides are good, while some of them are not.
