My father has been a resident at Kimwell, long term care. They do not have enough staff. I understand Covid has affected a lot of businesses, especially healthcare. They have a few excellent nurses. It hurts them because there are so many sub-standard/uneducated nursing assistants, etc. The food is atrocious. They have been working on improving the food for over 6 months. It has only gotten worse. They do not have appropriate food for diabetics and they frequently run out of Thick-it.

My Mom has been at Kimwell for over 3 years and the care has been outstanding. Quality care givers work there. People who realize that their work is a calling not a job. My wife and I looked and toured many places before deciding on Kimwell. We never looked at the fancy chandeliers at many places but took the time to talk to many of the staff. Without a doubt, Kimwell came in first and we are extremely happy and secure in our choice.
