I have had both my mother and grandmother in this facility. My mom was there on 4 different occasions and my grandmother once. The staff went above and beyond to make their stay pleasant. They became part of our family. The food was wonderful. Nothing like Queen Esters rolls and dressing. 3 snacks a day were served as well. The activities were excellent. When you walk into the building you are always greeted with a hello and friendly smile. They provided transportation to each Doctors visit which was very helpful to the family. Beauty shop onsite where they got their hair done each week. Housekeeping always kept the rooms clean and smelling wonderful. Shopping was also done once a week if we needed anything extra. I cannot say enough about this home and the staff there. My mom passed away there....my grandmother recently went back home. If we ever need another nursing home stay. She will return. The therapy there helped get my grandmother strong enough to return home and live independent again. Cherry Ridge has been a HUGE blessing to our family.

Mom had her own private room in Cherry Ridge that me and my brother paid extra for and they were not very cooperative with us. My mother was often hungry. We had to buy her a microwave and take food to her to eat because she was hungry and we found out they did not give her the right medication that she was supposed to have. Her doctor knew that she needed a certain medication for sleeping but it was written out in her orders that she had to come right out and ask for the very pill by name before she could get it. My mother was never told that, no one was ever told that. She would say that she needed something to help her sleep and it drove her literally to her death. That's really about all I need to say.
