If had the money, and I was ready to go somewhere, Lambeth House Retirement Community would be the place I would go to. They had activities all day long, and the food was very good. It was lovely. Everything was modern. The bathrooms were nicely equipped for people who need assistance. They also had washers and dryers in the apartment. It was very convenient.

I had the opportunity to visit Lambeth House, an assisted living facility in the uptown area of New Orleans, LA. The neighborhood that surrounds the facility looks nice. The facility itself is located on the corner of Broadway, and Leake. It is a very tall, dark red, brick building. The facility really looks like a home, and not a healthcare facility; from the rooms, to the halls, to the dining room it all looks like a home. At Lambeth House you won't find the traditional hospital plates covered by blue warming trays, and plastic cups. Instead, you'll see nice china, and glass goblets, when residents are sitting for a meal. The people there really seem to care about their residents. The only issue that bothered me about Lambeth House, is the fact that it is an Assisted Living facility, but some of the residents need nursing home care. This seems problematic because, the Aides and Nurses must take extra time with these residents, that shouldn't be necessary in this type of facility, and others have to wait. But my overall impression of Lambeth House, is that it is a very good facility
