I went to visit my friend at Chateau De Notre Dame. It was very nice there. He was there for a 1-week therapy. It was very well equipped. The therapists were excellent and the food was delicious. The rooms were large. The bathrooms were very large to accommodate a wheelchair, which was a plus. The shower was very nice. I liked everything about it. I felt the staff was fine. He was disappointed because he didn't get as much attention as he expected. He would have liked to have all the nurses floating around. He was not able to attend any of the activities. They had a courtyard, and they had several seating areas. It's run by the Catholic Church, so there was mass available and they were visited by a priest. It was an old building, but it was very clean every day.

I'll advise to not let any family member to choose this facility for their love ones, especially if they aren't able to speak or immobile. Employees have shifted the blame on their colleagues numerous times throughout my Aunt residency. It's so many errors committed daily even with the laundry that's properly marked to the owners.

I visited the Chateau De Notre Dame. It's a very nice, older facility. I really liked that they offered a Catholic mass every day and communion to the residents. They could either go to the chapel or view it in their rooms. It was farther away from my home but closer to my price point. The administrator actually brought me to the room where they provide physical and occupational therapy. I was very impressed with the administrator, who provided the tour himself. He took the time to explain about the facility, he entertained all of my questions, and I did not feel rushed. I feel like he was concerned that I got all the information I really needed to make an informed decision. He also followed up with an email, which I thought was very professional and very accommodating.

We visited Chateau de Notre Dame. It did not have a homey feeling and felt like a hotel in the lobby and elevator. They did not have anyone to welcome us.

We were not happy about putting our elderly parent into a assisted care facility but knew it had to be done. we chose Chateau De Notre Dame based on its location and recommendation of friends. It has worked out better than we have ever expected. the facility is okay. It is well kept and clean, but that is not what stands out the most. It is the people who work in the facility that make it special. they care about the work they do and the people they take care of. they do not just do what is necessary, but make tsure that the residents are enjoying the things that are available. On a recent visit to the facility we found that the residents were being entertained by some boys from a local high school who came and played a variety of music. They said they were members of a builders club and that their teacher was related to someone who worked at the facility. The kids come by on a regular basis to entertain the residents. It was the employees idea to get the kids involved. This type of thinking makes the place much better an more like a family to the residents.
