The Lodge is new and clean! I am thoroughly impressed by the therapy team and the private rooms. My loved one had a private room and was right by the rehabilitation area. The staff were always friendly with me when I was visited, and my family member was able to get something to eat anytime throughout the day when she wanted. I highly recommend The Lodge when looking for a skilled facility for rehabilitation services.

They lost my fathers clothing, and remotero his tv. While visiting, thw nurse tried to give his 8pm meds at 3pm. They could not even find his release papers when we checked out.

I have a relative in this care facility; at first it seemed great; but then issues started and the response wasn't a concerned issue from the General Manager; I feel that residents are just a number to the office staffing; after the sale; the well being isn't a concern. A violent room mate was our issue and the response was "there would be issues no matter what room" Really??? I would also like to say, the workers work hard and they really try; but un-concernes and unfairness from upper Management and poor security is experience from having someone in this facility. When I go at night; there is only one door to enter which is locked, it is very dark; and has people loafing outside with vehicles and loud music; also have to wait sometime for a while for someone to open the door; which is very uncomfortable in standing in the dark of an unsafe area. I think it's Management is the problem, as it always starts with Management as a reflection of issues.

There was Bingo practically every day and music and worship opportunities. There were meals provided, and special dietary provisions were made. However, sometimes the nurses were slow. There was no aural feedback when you pressed the call button, so you did not know if it worked or not. The televisions did not have remotes, and the nurses had to turn them on for the residents. When my mother was given a remote it would often turn on or change the channel of BOTH TVs in the room. Sometimes the the outlet expander would fall out of the wall, and although there was a hone jack in the room, there was no phone. There was also no internet, which more residents will be wanting as the baby boomers age.

The Staff was very friendly, always helped up with the patients to participate in ministry but the patients did not look as they were attended to a lot. The facility appeared clean but smelled dirty. There was different activities that the facility held for the patients such as, bingo, bing bag toss, dominoes, a special Olympics team, french band to play music, different crafts. There were times that the nurses would go and wake up the patient and help them get appropriately dressed and ready for the church buss to pick them up for church. Now one time as I showed up to pick up the patient for church the patient smelled as if she was sitting in her own feces when i entered her room and there were not any sheets on her bed and it was not a very pleasant aroma. She was so upset she ended up not going to church and my heart broke for her.
